Noah surprised me. He grabbed my hand tight and said "Shes my girlfriend and she's not a crazy bitch like you.". When we got to the end of the hall he stopped. "What's wrong?" Noah said putting his hand on my cheek and lifting my face so I was looking at him. I didn't want to tell him because I knew I would sound so pathetic.

Despite the fact that I didn't want to tell him I blurted it out "Every person I've ever liked was mean to me. None of them ever liked me. So when Kayla said that to you I though you ... you were going to leave me.". The words no sooner left my mouth when i began to cry and sniffle. Noah instantly cut in, "Don't cry. I'm not going any where.". As he pulled me in close to him, it was like a switch was flipped. My tears stopped falling. It made me feel like nothing else existed.

Noah some how managed to do something very few people could, comfort me.

After school we went to our spot on the hill to study. I was trying to help him with his math but I could tell he was distracted. "What's wrong Noah?" I said trying to get his attention. He looked at me for a minute and then said "I'm worried... that when you meet them you won't want to be around me any more.". "Meet who?" I said, puzzled. "My family." Noah answered looking away from my gaze. I stood up from where I had been sitting and sat next to him. "I'm all in... No matter what." I said wrapping my arm around his and nuzzling my face into his neck. Noah must have been tearing up because he sniffled then said "So am I...".

The rest of the week flew by and before I knew it, it was Friday. The day I was going to Noah's to meet his family. I was so scared. After school Caylen and I ran out to my car and drove to the mall in the city( it was only half an hour away). Sure I had tons of perfectly fine clothes but nothing I thought was good enough for this. When we got there we went straight to our favourite store. Within twenty minutes I had found it. The perfect outfit. A pleated navy skirt that came to a little above my knees, a whitish coloured wide strapped tank top and a long black sweater.

When we got back to my house I ran to plug my cell in then into my bathroom to take a quick shower. After I dried off I slipped into my robe and began doing my make up while Caylen curled my hair.

Once I was done, I got dressed. I didn't have any dressy shoes so I slipped on my vans. "Good luck Dani." she yelled to me as I close my bedroom door and ran down stairs. Caylen was staying over that night so she was just gonna wait for me.

As Noah's car pulled into his drive way, I was overwhelmed with a scared feeling. He must have noticed my expression, "Their gonna love you... " He said with a smile. When we walked through the front door I slipped off my shoes and Noah took my hand. He lead me down a long hall into a big open kitchen. "Mom?" Noah said still gripping my left hand.

An average height lady, with shoulder length chocolate brown hair turned to look at me. She was very pretty and she was smiling. "Well Danielle, I've been waiting a long time to meet you. My name's Daina." She said shaking my hand, still smiling. "Noah I'm going to get the rest of them. Why don't you take Danielle to the dining room?"she continued before padding away.

Noah pulled a chair out for me at the end of the table before sitting to my right. He smiled and put his hand on my knee, "She must like you because I've never seen her smile that much when she first met anyone.". I smiled "Really? I hope so.".

Soon a small group of people filed in the doorway. An older lady sat to my left, next to Noah sat an elderly man, across from him sat a young boy, his mother sat across from me and a tiny girl with blonde curly hair sat next to Daina.

Daina made a huge meal. It consisted of homemade rolls, roast pepper soup, caesar salad and steak. "Ma, Da, Colby this is Danielle. Danielle this is my mother Lynda, my father Gordon, Colby and Katie.". Daina said. Before anyone could say anything else Katie chimed in "I'm four." Causing them to laugh and making me smile. Gordon was a tall man who had to be 80 ish was first to speak "Well it's very nice to finally meet you.". The food was amazing and the whole time Lynda kept telling me stories about when her and Gordon were younger. They were adorable.

Colby was 13 and Daina told me she had another son named Tanner who was 23. After everyone finished I volunteered to do the dishes but Daina insisted that I was the guest. Noah lead me down a hall and up a set of stairs to his room. I sat in the edge of his bed and he closed the door over "So how was that ? It went so good right?". I nodded then got up and stood close to him. Standing on my tippy toes, I reach up and locked lips. Almost automatically Noah put his hands on my hips and my arms around his neck.

I pulled away "Noah?". He continued kissing me but in between he managed "Yeah?". "I ... I ....". Noah pulled away and hugged me, "I love you." he said. I was so surprised. "Y...you do?" I managed. Noah pulled away and grabbed my hand. "Yes. You make me feel like you actually appreciate me." He answered. I couldn't stop smiling, "I love you too.".

That night when Noah dropped me off, Caylen was waiting for me. She made me tell her everything.
