The next morning I woke up on my bed in my dress, wrapped in my blanket. I got up and changed into a hoodie and yoga pants before going downstairs. When I walked into the kitchen a couple of the guys were cleaning. "You guys don't have to do that ... I'll get it." I said picking up some plastic cups.
I walked into the living room to find Kenzie cleaning, "Hey where's Noah?". His head shot up," Hey umm he had to go some where but he said it wouldn't take him long.". We all finished cleaning up in about twenty minutes, and Noah brought us back food. We were all starving so it didn't take us long to eat.
The next few days flew by and soon it was Christmas Eve. Mom called and told me she would be home around eleven. I got up around lunch and wrapped the last of the gifts. Then I ran to get ready, Noah was picking me up around 3. When he picked I grabbed my bag with the gifts and hurried out into the cold.
When we got to his house Daina was working on supper and everyone else was gathered in the living room. I went to offer my help in the kitchen before joining the others in the living room. We all talked and laughed for a while before Daina joined us, " Suppers ready!".
After everybody ate, we all went back down to the living room to watch the kids open their pyjamas. Colby's were just blue and black plaid and Katie's were a pair of Frozen rhymed. They were covered in Elsa and Anna. She immediately changed into them.
"Oh ...wait.." I said running to grab my bag. Daina saw what I had retrieved, "You didn't have to do that, sweetie.". I wish I had been able to get more or better gifts, "I sorry, I wish I could have...". Lynda cut me off, "There great dear.".
I got her and Gordon 25 dollar prepaid visas, Daina a 25 dollar gas card, Katie a Olof and Elsa plush set with a blanket and Colby a 25 dollar xbox card. Noah was the last to open his, I was so scared he wasn't going to like it. As he tore away the last of the wrap, his jaw dropped, "No..". I frowned and my heart sank but before I could say anything he continued. "I can't believe you got this! They are hard to get! Thank you!"Noah said hugging me tightly and flipping me around.
"Glad you like it!". When he put me down he paused, "How did you get this... seriously?" he asked holding up the signed hockey jersey. "I'm magic!" I laughed giving Noah a quick wink.
After another hour I helped Noah take some bags of stuff to his room to wrap. When he closed the door he got a weird look on his face, "What ... what Noah?". Without saying a word he walked to his dresser and pulled out something from his top drawer. It was the size on my hand and was wrapped in light blue paper.
"It's kinda small but I hope you like it.." Noah said placing it in my hands. I pulled back the paper to see it was a square black box. I opened it and there it was, a silver chain with an "N" shaped pendant. The pendent was covered in tiny stones. "What does the the N stand for ?" I asked sarcastically. He started blushing, making me giggle. I got up off his bed and walked closer to him. "If you don't like it.." he started. I wrapped him in a tight hug, "I love it...".
After he put his laundry away we went back downstairs and his mom had gotten her camera out. "You two should stand in front of the tree!" She said gesturing to me and Noah. After she snapped a few pictures The kids went to bed and I got ready to leave.
