Unbelievable

Chapter 12

I drove around for a while before deciding to go see Noah. When I knocked on the door Colby answered, "What?" He demanded. I was kind of shocked "Umm is Noah here.." I started before being cut off. "Colby let her in." Noah rang out. Colby rolled his eyes before opening the door.

"Hey, feelin any better?" I asked kissing Noah on the cheek. He smiled "Now that you're here.". He was so corny but it did make me feel a little better. Noah told me his mom and grandparents were gone to his aunts house to see the new baby.

Suddenly someone wrapped their arms around my legs. I turned to see Katie, "You came to seeeee me!" She squealed. After a few minutes she took off into her room. "Are you really sick?" I said as Noah flopped on his bed. He smirked and looked at me "Mom I'm so sick *(cough)* *(cough)* " and then laughed. I flopped next to him and giggled. "You little faker." He sat up and smirked. " What ?" I questioned looking over my shoulder.

Before I could do anything else, Noah started tickling me. I managed to pin him to the bed, "I win." I giggled.

My cell phone started to ring in the back pocket of my light blue skinny jeans. "Heelllo?" It was Caylen and she sounded annoyed. "Where are you? I thought you were here?" She demanded. I looked around "I Was but I umm wasn't feeling good so I went to Nan's." I lied knowing she would have come over. "Feel better I gotta go cells gonna die ... text me later." she said before hanging up. I slipped my phone back in my pocket before I noticed the look on Noah's face.

I was about to ask him what was wrong when I realized why he was making that face. When I tried to stand up I collapsed onto the floor because both of my legs were asleep. "Oh my god!!! Are you alright?" Noah said rushing to help me up. "Ya I'm ok" I said with a snicker.

Noah asked me to stay for supper that night. I helped him cut vegetables for a salad and cook chicken burgers. When everything was done I set the table while he went to get the kids. Katie ran in and jumped into my arms. It was really awkward because I had only been at their house like 3 or 4 times. It did make me happy that at least one of his siblings liked me.

I put Katie down in her chair ( it's like a high chair but is attached to the table because she is so small) and walk into the kitchen past Colby. "Hey colby." I said smiling at him. He completely ignored me. As I put the tongs in the salad I could her Katie and Noah talking...

Katie-"Do you wuv her?"

Noah-"yes"

Katie-"Is she gonna be Colby and I's new sisser?"

The way Katie talked was adorable.

Noah-"I don't know but I hope so"

I walked into the dining room and I could feel my cheeks turning pink. Noah sat by Colby and I sat beside Katie.

After everyone ate I cleaned the table and helped Noah with the dishes. I stayed for a while longer and played with Katie. Noah and I sat at her little table and she made us tea in her plastic kitchen. She gave us boas and bead necklaces. Katie told Noah I got a tiara because I was her favourite. It was probably because Noah only had boy cousins so she never had any other girls to play with her.

When I was at the door to leave she came running to me and hugged me. Katie examined me, "You forgot you're crown." she said darting back to her room. Once she appeared again, I told her I wanted her to keep it but she wouldn't let me leave without it. So I let her put it on my head before I walked out on yo the front step. "Alright Katie you go play I'll be in in a few minutes." Noah said before stepping out and closing the door.

He got close to me and put his forehead on mine "I love you.". I giggled and pulled away, "I know, I heard.."I said trying not to laugh. Noah smile and said "Well it's true." before kissing me. He was so warm and gentle.

It was here it was, Halloween. Noah and I were going to take Colby and Katie out. My costume consisted of a black pencil skirt with a tiny bit of ruffle around the waist and a white long sleeve blouse. The shirt came off my right shoulder abit and I had a little black vest over it. I even had a black pirate hat and a pair of brown boots that came close to my knee.

Noah dressed up as batman, Katie dressed up as the princess from Frozen, Elsa. Colby only wore a rubber mask, Noah told me it was a character from one of his video games. It really bothered me that Colby hated me.

We had just left the house and were on the side walk when I decided to try again, "Hey Colby, I love you're mask...its so coool!". He turned and looked at me but nothing else. I felt discouraged.

About half an hour later, while Noah was talking to one of his neighbours, I saw Katie sitting on the grass crying. I ran over to her, "Katie what's wrong?" I said crouching down. "Some girls told me I'm not a weal princess and neder is Elsa." she sobbed.

I sat next to her and put my arm around her, "Katie don't listen to them, their all dressed up as old princesses and their just jealous you're dressed as a new one, who happens to be my favourite.". She thought for a moment, "Really?". "Yes so don't let their jealousness ruin your night." I beamed as she got up and ran to another house.

I few hours later Katie had gotten tired and fell asleep while Noah carried her. I went to look for Colby so we could go back to the house. When I saw him, I noticed some older boys were pushing him around and took his bag of candy.

I jogged over to them, "Heey Colby what's going on?" I said. "nothing" he replied sadly. I reached out and grabbed Colby's bag, "Here buddy.". The tallest one spoke up "Wow Colby getting your sister after us.." he laughed. I spun around, "I'm not his sister but I am his friend..." I stated getting close to them. "And if you all don't stop bothering Colby I'm gonna be your worst nightmare... now I suggest you go home." I continued before walking away with Colby.

"Wow, look at them run!" Colby said with a laugh. "Ya.." I giggled. "I'm sorry I wasn't nice to you.. it's just ..." He started. "It's fine but are we good now?" I said cutting him off. "Ya you're awesome!" He said before running up to the house.

Noah looked at me funny, "When did you two become buddy's ?" He chuckled. "Since now.." I giggled.

"She's giving me a dead arm..."he complained. "I'll carry her if you want." I offered. "Really? .. Here." he said practically dumping her with me.

When we got inside it was almost 9, so Noah asked me to take her and put her in bed. "Noah she can't sleep in this costume she'll over heat and be uncomfortable." I protested. "Well if you want she has pyjamas in her bottom drawer... Have at err." he said strolling into the kitchen.

I carried her to her room and laid her on her bed. When I turned around she woke up, "Dani?". I turned to see her sitting on the edge of her bed, "Do you want to put on pjs?" I said smiling. Katie nodded. I grabbed a set of star pyjamas, it was a tshirt and pants made of thin material. "Can you help me?" She whimpered. I helped her change and as I was leaving she jumped out of bed and ran to me.

"I wuv you, Dani!" She said sleepily, hugging me. I carried her back to bed and tucked her in. "Goodnight sweetie.".

As I walked into the kitchen I could still feel my heart melting. Katie was so sweet. "What? " Noah said as I leaned on the island. "She told me she loved me." I smiled. Noah walked closer to me, "Ya well that makes two of us." he whispered before kissing my cheek.
