Chapter Fourteen

One week of searching and observing the hideout Malcolm gave me that I finally found the devil I was looking for.

Rachel Viktor.

It was really secured with a lot of gangsters providing security services. It was weird how a vampire clan worked like a mafia or underground association. They were very cautious and constantly on the move from God knows what.

Today was the day I planned to attack their base. To kill everyone who hurt my father and also to rescue the kids I saw them taking into the building day after day.

It was tiring and a personal mission that I wouldn't let my teammates be involved with but I was ready for the challenge. All I had to do was come up with a great one man strategy and get rid of them.

I also had to use Melody to get every possible information I had on the group and to be honest, it was interesting. They were a force to be feared but I was determined to bring them down.

Today was the day. The day I broke into their organization and seek justice for my family.

I had a lot of guns and swords planted in different locations so that I could effectively annihilate them. I had to eradicate the world problem before I would decide what to do with my life.

I took out the first three men scouting the area, one by one as I hit their weapons since they had turned to ashes from a knife in the heart.

I moved quietly, flawlessly and quickly, disengaging any enemy that stood in my way. I just had five minutes to enter the building after Melody's program was activated.

Taking out anyone who raised a gun at me, I ran straight to the room that had control of all the security cameras. If I kill all the vampires there, then alerting the others would be slow.

I threw a flashbomb the moment the number of defense increased before taking them out one by one as I continued my journey upstairs. The control room was a floor below where Rachel stayed and also kept the children.

I was on the third floor when security increased. I couldn't take everyone on my own so I looked for the quickest way upstairs. If they were reapers, I would have used a daylight bomb to be manipulating their movements but unfortunately Rachel wouldn't have her 'products' put at risk.

I placed ear buds in my ears before I threw a tiny frequency grenade. It could kill a human if they were at close range because of how it affected the eardrums but against a vampire, it was painful damage.

They all stopped and looked at the tiny grenade which took the form of a children's toy before I pressed a button and then the sound released.

They all screamed as they fell on the floor, holding their ears to block the sound as I ran passed them, taking any weapon on them that seemed useful to me.

I stopped in front of the elevator that lead to the second floor but then something was wrong. My strategy was good but it wasn't perfect that I wouldn't get someone to attack me at close range.

I entered the elevator and pressed the floor before it slowly started to move up and then I smirked. Years of experience and combat was required when operating this mission so I was able to predict their moves.

I used Dylan's invention, gravity manipulator, installed in my boots and gloves to attach myself at the ceiling of the roof before I pulled out a regular bomb.

The moment the elevator clicked like a bell and opened, multiple bullets could be heard being shot inside before I smirked and then threw the bomb the moment they stopped firing..
