Chapter Sixteen

The mission was simple, finding Adonis and rescuing him. Avery had been worried that his brother was in danger and had been restless but thanks to Genesis assistant, Heather, a human doctor, she gave him a shot of a mild seductive that would be putting him out of commission for a while.

Adonis teammates had also retrieved a human boy, an orphan a year younger than Avery who was a victim of trafficking sadly. He told us every useful we needed, disregarding his fear and trauma before, Genesis took over his case since she was a council representative for humans.

"Do you have any lead on where Rachel is?" I asked the human called Melody, a computer genius in their crew who sadly shocking her head.

"Not any yet sir. The organization has sent as many SS class groups to hunt down Rachel before she leaves town. Well also have every transportation blocked." She explained as she took a bite off a carrot in her mouth. She seemed to calm for a human but from her heart beat, she was more worried than the people in her team.

A soldier stepped in into the headquarters for the council and then saluted before presenting me a envelope.

"Lord Vladimir, this package came for you." She said before I collected it and opened it quickly.

I saw a memory card inside a container before I gave it to Melody who inserted it to her system and set it up so that we see what was inside.

"Hello Vladimir, it's been seven years if I'm correct. How have you been?" Rachel asked making my face to become stoic.

"Oh I'm sure you have your hands full. Well let's cut to the chase, I'm not really in the mood. I want that human Avery Parker and printing now is the contract saying that you and the council have handed your power over to supreme leader. Until supreme leader is back, I will be the holder of such power but take warning Vladimir, if you try to be smart, I'll do more than what I have done to your precious little human." Rachel said and then the background changed to a video where I heard Adonis grunt and yell in pain as three vampires used whips to flog his body that had been chained across the wall.

I watched as all his comrades closed their eyes as the whip hit his body while the healer cried as she saw her captain being tortured by creatures that brought a disgrace to vampires.

The video returned back to Rachel who was giving a bright smile.

"You have forty-eight hours to give me what I want. I will be sending my lawyer, a human to stand in for us so be careful not to harm him, he knows nothing." She said before the video ended and then most of his second in command, Julius got violent.

"Calm down Julius, we can't let our emotions get the best of us! Captain wouldn't like that!" Carmen, another female in their group shouted before Julius stopped and calmed down.

"I think I have a solution." I heard a calm baritone speak before everyone turned and faced the hafling that was talking.

"Stephen am I correct?" Kyro, the council head for dragons asked as the hafling nodded.

"That place they have him is underground a factory called Chuckies powerplant. It may seem like an ordinary factory but I tell you that underground it is a world of it's own. You won't enter and make it out alive without having someone who knows the inside and out." He explained as I listened to his words carefully.

"The workers in the factory are mostly humans but their superior are the ones who are aware of the underground so if your attacking you have to consider that innocent people are also involved. Innocent defenseless people. Rachel will be caught off guard if we find her quicker than expected." He explained before I nodded my head in understanding.

"So what are we to do?" Genesis asked before Stephen walked to the center of the room and showed us virtual reality 3D model of the building.

"It's fucking huge." Dylan said excitedly as he started to whispers words which were mathematical.

"This is the room they will be keeping him. The children who were kidnapped would be kept close by so that if there was attack, they'd easily move them and secure a few as hostages. Rachel will be on the higher ground because of her laboratory. The deeper we get, the more security so our aim should be securing positions that will ensure Rachel doesn't leave underground and not putting the humans live in danger." Stephen explained as he pointed places and elaborated.

"How do you have so much information?" Obadian, council head for werewolves asked before Stephen smirked.

"I prefer to hold such information to myself as it is for your safety but as we speak I have spies who have the children secured since security isn't so tough at their unit and I also have a list of children that will need to be rescued that I will hand to Miss Genesis Broodway as most are human but she will require help from Tobias, head of national security. Well it is up to you to plan how you will deal with Rachel, I have done to my power." Stephen said before I saw how hope needed on everyone's faces.

After Stephen distributed the information and resources we needed, I and the council members present along with the hunter associates in the room generalized a plan that was effective to taking out Rachel.

I refuse to be humiliated by a low classed vampire. If she thought she was the referee in this game because my brother was missing, then she is a more thousand years too young to start playing a game that started before her creation.
