Chapter Fifteen

Something was wrong and I could feel it within me. It was painful like a thousand needle pierces into a soft heart.

I had been cooped up in my room for days but not because I was angry with Addy but because I have been secretly communicating with Yvo. Infact, he was currently in my room.

"Zed said I got chubbier, so you think so?" He asked as he played as I heard slapping of cheeks before turning my head to the direction of the sound.

"Bring your face let me check." I said before he did as I said and then I placed my hands on his face before chuckling.

"No. He just meant your cute. Your so lucky you have a mate." I said before I withdrew my hands and then I felt Yvo touching the tip of my hair which had grown longer than over the months.

"Well one day you'll find yours and I'm sure his a nice guy." Yvo said before I whipped my head towards him.

"How are you sure his a guy?" I asked before Yvo started to hum as the back of his legs hit the wood frame.

"I don't know. Instincts I guess." Yvo responded before we both started laughing.

Being blind was difficult because I was underestimated a lot by people around me even my own brother. Not that I cared because I used it a lot to my advantage but it had its disadvantages especially since I was highly sensitive to my surroundings. The painful part was I have forgotten how my brother looks like and I always painted an image of how Yvo and Liana looked like.

We were still talking when we heard a knock on the door and then I heard miss Bernice voice. I opened the door for her knowing she was already aware of Yvo's presence since faes can teleport.

"There's a Lord Vladimir here to see you." Bernice informed me before I nodded and then Yvo patted me.

We both went downstairs before I felt a cold hand touch my hand and then started to touch my face and then sighed in relief.

"We have to go, I've hired a security that will keep you all safe and protected." Sir Vladimir said making my heart to beat in fear when I heard that.

"What's wrong? Addy isn't back."

"He won't be, his life is in danger and if we want to reduce the risk I need you all secured." He explained before I felt him leading me to God knows where.

We stopped for a while before I was assisted to enter a vehicle. I felt sir Vladimir by my side making me anxious. I was worried about Addy. What had he gotten himself into that even a council member like sir Vladimir was scared.

"What's going on? Who took Addy?" I asked desperately as my head shook around, trying to find his face.

Sir Vladimir responded with a pregnant pause before he softly exhaled and held me.

"He was captured by the Blood Bite."

"The Blood Bite?"

"The same people who killed your family, seven years ago." He explained making my heart officially stop beating.

I woke up with a groan in my throat before I closed my eyes again because of the oversensitivity from the tiny sunlight flashing to my eyes.

I looked around ignoring my splitting headache as I searched around before previous memories cane back to me.

Rachel had tricked me into coming there? She intentionally let Malcolm lead me on.

I cursed ignoring the pain as I tried to release my hands from the chair I was tied to but unfortunately, I was strapped with chains both on my wrists and legs.
