"Have you lost your fucking mind?" Cole shouted when I returned to the cabin, out of breath and trembling. He stormed inside before I could even attempt to answer, I'm certain that I am losing my mind. "What the fuck, Macey?" he is so angry. "You could have at least told me where you were going, I was fucking..." he trailed off. I know he was worried; I don't know why I didn't tell him.
"I'm sorry" I said.
"What a fucking surprise. You're always sorry, Macey" he shouted.
"What do you want me to say?" I shouted back, waving my hands in the air.
"I want you to use your fucking brain! I didn't know where the fuck you were, and I panicked alright!" he continued to shout. Oh.
"Alright! Stop swearing at me!" I shouted but sounded like I was about to cry.
"Stop making me fucking angry then!" he stormed upstairs and slammed the bedroom door.
I opened the book to find out that Layla's life had in fact, been a lie. I made myself a sandwich and cleaned up in the kitchen a little bit, waiting for Cole to come down and apologise for acting like a lunatic and shouting at me the way did. I finally got the TV to work, I even put the volume up high so Cole could hear it, but he still didn't come down. At 9pm, I finally gave up and took myself to bed. I rolled my eyes at how childish he was being and then realised that I'm probably just as bad.
