After Levi and I went on our mountain picnic date, he dropped me to my parents house so that I could pack some more clothes to bring over to Stanley's; at the rate my life was going I would most likely spend my whole summer vacation at my brother's house. I didn't mind if that's how it turned out, it wasn't like I had anything better to do with my summer, and all my excitement was at Stanley's house; namely Levi. When we reached home, we saw Stanley and Asha watching television, we both greeted them and then Levi went to his room. Before we left the car , we were forced to have our goodnight kiss, it would be really hard to maneuver the intimate part of our relationship, however anything else would go by easily without anyone suspecting anything because we were already friends. so my job, according to Levi, was to stop overthinking the situation and refrain from acting weird.

After putting my bag in the room, I joined Asha and Stanley in the living room, they were watching some action series that I didn't recognize and I didn't really want to watch but I had nothing better to do at the moment. I grabbed my phone and started scrolling through Instagram.

"So how was your day miss 'I'm going to university,'" Stanley asked a few minutes later with a huge smile on his face. I could tell that he was extremely proud of me. Stanley always wanted what was best for me, not only was I his little sister, but I was also his only sibling. My brother was an average student at school and he made a choice not to go to further his education after highschool because he always said that the school life was never his path in life. After highschool he started working and, according to him it was the best decision that he made. He always referred to me as the smart one, and the one that would go on to make our parents proud. Get my medical degree, become a doctor, marry the man of my dreams and start a family.

"My day was alright, after I got the news I went to the doughnut shop, then started walking around town," I tried to keep my face straight as I lied about walking around town, "then I saw Levi at the bustop and he dropped me at home to pick up some more clothes to bring here." Stanley nodded.

"Seemed like a calm day."

"So Sophia," Asha chimed in excitedly, "what do you think about going to an amusement park this weekend, to celebrate."

"That sounds cool," I replied.

"Stanley is already on board, I just have to ask Levi and it's settled," she smiled. I smiled back, it was nice of Asha to want to plan an outing to celebrate. She would be a good fit for my brother, I was rooting for her and Stanley to stay together. Stanley needed to be stable in life, settle down with a nice girl and Asha was a nice girl. I glanced at my phone to see if Josie reached out to me, but nothing. I decided to message her again.

So I got my acceptance letter from Mainland's, I was hoping we could celebrate?

I locked my phone and sighed. I hated that my best friend and I were fighting especially at a time like this. This was our last summer to be together before I went off to school. Mainland's was far away from where I lived, and I wasn't sure if I was going to be coming back home for Christmas and summer vacations because of the money. I would have to live in the dorms and most likely get a part time job when the opportunity presented itself. Just then, Asha's phone rang distracting my thoughts. She picked it up.

"Hey Cassie," the sound of Cassie's name almost made me roll my eyes,I really needed to control this eye roll issue, I thought. I couldn't draw attention to myself, not with Stanley and Asha sitting from across me. "He what? Girl slow down, slow down, Cassie don't cry, ok, I'm coming over, no it's not too late, just calm down, see you in a few." Asha sighed as she hung up the phone.

"What was that about?" Stanley asked.

"Levi dumped Cassie," she said. I smirked, trying hard not to put a full on grin on my face. "Now she wants me to come over." Just then Levi walked into the kitchen, the way the house was organized we were able to see him from where we were sitting.
