Today was the day of the party with Brendon and I was even more nervous than the first party that I went to. For the past week I've been chilling with Brendon everyday. Last night he told me that he was going to pick me up this morning so that he could bring me somewhere before the actual party, when I asked him where it was he told me that it was surprise. My brother was still trying to contact me and after the last conversation i had with Levi, he never called back, I felt a little bad, but life went on as Brendon said to me. Asha and I were getting closer and she was back talking to Stanley. I made her promise that she wouldn't discuss me to Stanley, neither Levi. Especially the fact that she was aware that I was hanging out with Brendon regularly. The last thing i wanted Levi to find out is that I was asking him for space while hanging out with other guy, that would have been the recipe for disaster. Asha kept telling me to be careful with Brendon and she offered to try to do a background check on him, but I told her that it wasn't necessary, Brendon and I were just friends, he never even tried to make a move on me since the party so I figured he most likely wasn't interested in me in that way and he maybe just enjoyed having me as a friend, and frankly, that was okay with me. My parents had figured out that there was a tension between my brother and I. My mom specifically, told me that when I was ready to talk about it she woukd be there to listen. She mentioned her concern towards what was going on because she had never witnessed Stanley and I not speaking for a long period of time. Earlier this morning , she and my father left for a couple building retreat, so basically I had the house all to myself for the entire weekend. That was a good thing because I didn't know what state I would be in after the party. My phone rang.

"Hello," I answered.

"I'm outside."

I took my bag and went to meet Brendon. I opened the door and hopped in the front seat to see Brendon smoking.

"Isn't it too early for that?" I said to him.

"Never too early," he said as he passed it to me. Brendon had a way of persuading me to do things that I didn't particularly feel comfortable doing. However I would go along with it because if I denied, he would start saying about how I agreed to live a little more with him for the summer. "You're becoming a pro Sofie, not even a cough, I'm impressed," I rolled my eyes and passed the joint back to him.

"Ready to tell me where exactly we are going?"

"I'm going to treat you Sofie," he said with a mischievous grin.

"Please explain."

"Well my friends made the comment yesterday, and I agreed, you definitely cannot attend the party with me looking like that."

"What are you saying?" I asked

"You know what I mean, of course you're a pretty girl, you have a lot of potential ,but you don't have that 'whoa' factor about you, you just come across as the basic pretty girl."

I had met two of Brendon's friends yesterday, Taylour and Khan. Brendon introduced me to them and we all hung out. At first they were really nice and friendly towards me, until they decided that they had some things to say about me, specifically Taylour. She said to Brendon that I was boring, I lacked energy and my look was not enticing, to say the least. Taylour was the one who was hosting the party and she made it known that if I had planned to look so basic at her party then it didn't make sense that I even came. Apparently Taylour was known for throwing top notch parties, and to get invited to her party was a privilege. At that point Brendon had stood up for me, saying that I was young and still trying to adopt the right style for me, he also told Taylour that once I came to the party with him, there was nothing that she could do about it. I thought that it was so attractive that he stood up for me in front of his friends. But today , however, he was taking a different stance.
