“What happened here? Why didn’t you call the ambulance?”

“I don’t know I just came home and I found her on the floor.”

“Asha, the first thing would be to call the ambulance and not me.”

“I didn’t know what to do.”

“Why didn’t you call Stanley?”

“I can’t call Stanley!”

“Why can’t you?”

“She is Pregnant Levi!”

“What!?”

I could hear the voices between consciousness, everything was fuzzy. I was still on the floor, but I couldn’t move, I could barely open my eyes, and everything was blurry.

“She twitched her fingers!” Asha said as she came towards me. “Stay awake Sophia, you’re going to be fine.”

“I’m calling the ambulance.” I faded into the darkness again.

What was that loud noise? I forced my eyes open once more, I was moving, was I in an ambulance? My sight was still blurry. But I heard the familiar voices, it was Asha and Levi? What was Levi doing here, am I going to the hospital? Why? I think I’m okay I was fairly conscious, although I couldn’t move. My stomach hurt, what was going on? I was confused. Guys... I wanted to say, tell me what’s going on. My mouth couldn’t move, my head hurt. I panicked.

“There was blood,” Asha cried, “that is not a good sign.”

“How long did you know she was pregnant?”

“That’s not the point here, she might lose the child, I’m afraid.”

“I’m sure she is going to be fine.”

“What if she lost too much blood?”

Blood? I was bleeding? My baby, did I lose my baby? Would someone just tell me what was going on with me. I wanted to cry, even though I didn’t want the baby it doesn’t mean that I wanted it to die. Please let my baby be okay, please, please, please.

“Asha, calm down she will be fine,” Levi said with worry in his voice, “I’m sure she will be.”

I opened my eyes again, there was a doctor in front of me, I was in the hospital. Possibly admitted overnight. My sight was still blurry. She changed my Iv bag, and she was taking notes. Am I okay? Is my baby okay? I didn’t have the strength to talk. Asha was still here, she sat down on the other end of the room, facing the window, was she crying? Don’t cry Asha, I’m okay. What if she is crying because of the baby? Can someone just please inform me of what was happening. I tried to reach out, it was no use, I was extremely weak, I closed my eyes again.

“Why didn’t you tell me that my sister was in the hospital?”

“I would have told you eventually, I didn’t know what to do.”

“Asha, how could you have called Levi but not me? It’s my sister!”

“I know I know,” she cried. “I didn’t know if you would respond, I know you guys weren’t on speaking terms and I didn’t want you to find out, I didn’t know how you would take it.”

“Speaking terms or not, you should know better, that’s my sister, not yours,”

Stanley was here, they were arguing he and Asha. Asha just wanted to protect me, don’t argue with her. I wanted to get up, I was still weak and my head pounded immensely, I needed more rest.
