Reunion

For the past nine years for being a surgeon. It's not that easy at all. Since Med school I did everything I could to learn those scientific names, rare cases, study human body and other medical stuff related in my course. After years later of studying I got my medical license. I had given the chance to have an internship in Sydney, I continue my internship in Brisbane and months later I decided to volunteer there.

I work my ass off to be paid well, I never demand to have my parent's money. I live in my own, well, aside from my med school bills. They pay for it, however, when I graduated I decided to stand in my own. I pursue my masters with my own money, obviously from my own pocket. Papa doesn't like the idea but I insist. It is also a great experience for me to learn how to world works.

Well, I thought it would be a easy ride but I was wrong. Everything I do need to be calculated, I need to manage my time properly, I cook for myself and I learn everything by myself. If there's someone you could lean on when the world doesn't want you to be fit, it's your own self.

Maraming taon ko ring pinag-ipunang bilhin iyon at naging akin nga ang lupaing iyon.

I build a two-story house, with a wide pool at my backyard. Gawa sa salamin lahat nang bintana, sa unang palapag ay nandoon ang tatlong guestroom. Kusina, living room at dinning area. There's nothing much in my house, just some stuffs. My surf boards, collection of tons of books, my novels. Nakatago ang lupaing ito mula sa syudad, mula sa ospital ay dalawang oras at kalahati pa ang ipagmamaneho ko bago ko marating ang bahay ko. Kaya nakapag-decide akong kumuha na muna nang condominium na malapit sa ospital.

"I can't believe you have this huge house, I mean, look at those bunch of books! Dang, one of my dreams." Fatima scan my novels. Hindi rin nakatakas sa mga mata ko ang pagkamangha nila. Maliban sa living room ay naroon rin ang malaki kong aquarium, nasa kabila nito ang malaking bookshelf. In my way to kitchen nandodoon ang mga surfing boards ko.

"You have a weird taste of decorating your own house." Elyana commented. Ngayon ngayon lang kami nakarating dito mula pa kaming NAIA at dinaan ko pa ang dalawang unggoy na doctor. At sa Starbucks kami nagkita nila, Fatima at Mergrace.

"I agree but I find it aesthetic, I mean. Her walls is also full of those abstract painting and those vases too! Where did you get those? Hindi ko ito nakita sa ilang shops dito sa Manila." Juliet said. Lumapit ito sa mga vases na naka-display malapit sa fifty inches na flat-screen TV. Limang vases pero importante iyon sa akin.

"That's from my grandma's." My mother's mom used to love vases, both porcelain or antiques. Anything, basta vase. Noong gustong ipatapon ni Mama ang mga vase ni Lola ay ako ang nagtago niyon. She thinks I already throw it away since I made that excuse. My Father's mom, or should I say my Lola, own this land and I bought it. My lolo and grandpa are both dead when I come out on this world. Hindi ko sila naabutan.

"Akala ko sa auction mo nakuha. You're filthy rich." Diore added.

"I'm not rich, I'm just filling my own pocket with my own money. I don't have any mum's card here." I bark. Ngumiwi lang ito at lumapit sa gilid ni Juliet at may ibinulong. I don't know what's going between them but I'm sure, they're good right now. Maybe later, they will be an abnormal couple.

"Can I see the second floor, Seun?" Mergrace ask. I nod.

"Sure, Mer. Guys, sa taas lang kami. Feel free to check my kitchen, I've got everything you all need there."
