Street light kiss

The issue regarding IC and Hecap's situation worsen. It's friday and tomorrow I will meet Seunjah's parents. I'm almost done operating my seventh patient this day.

"Suture please." The nurse handed me the suture, I started tieing the patient's wound. After tieing it, I breath and look all of them.

"Dr. Soreal, ikaw na ang bahala sa pasyente. Thanks for today everyone."

"Okay, doc." They all answered. Lumabas ako sa OR at kaagad na nagpalit. I wash my hands and afterwards I check my phone. There's no messages from her. Her uncle state is not good. Last day of second week this November, uminom ako mula sa aking mineral battle water. I wipe my sweats as I watch people walking passed in front of  emergency room. I can't find my girlfriend, maybe she's in operating room again.

She's really obsessed in operation room.

She always check her uncle state, kahit may assign doctor na ito. I can see those young nurses glancing at me, if Seunjah sees this, godness gracious she looks so adorable  being jealous. Damn her possessiveness sometimes.

"Waiting for Doctora, Parkers?" It's Mergrace. Tumango ako.

"She's in OR again. Masyadong obsessed sa ER patients. Napamahal na talaga siya dito sa ER."

I can't help but to agree. In med school days I always heard from her that she really hate ER, at kung sakali mang iaassign siya sa ibang department ay huwag lang daw sa ER dahil hindi niya alam kung papapaano siya makakasurvive, but look what she's been doing? She is now loving this damn place and I can't help but to compare myself.

Sino ang matimbang para sa kaniya? Ako o 'yong ER? Plus, her favorite place. The operating room, damn, nababaliw na ata ako.

"Nakita mo ba si Fatima?" Ramdam ko ang lungkot sa boses ni Mergrace. I know they're sad about their friend.

"Nah, I'm busy."

"I bet she already know about the news. Damn, kapag nakita ko talaga ang batang 'yon ako mismo ang bubugbog sa kaniya!"

"Chill, gal." Napaangat ako nang tingin. She's here. She is breathtakingly beautiful on her scrubs, so sexy and attractive.

"Can you wear your coat? It's distracting me," When the truth is I feel hot.

She smiled. "Sure, amore."

She wore her coat and set beside me. Nakita ko ang pagkagulat sa mata ni Mergrace. Oh, they didn't know?

"Sorry gals, Siowojen and I are dating. Just tell the gang, I'm really lazy to open my damn social media account. Hey, can I have your battle? I'm thirsty." I handed her my water battle. Mabilis niyang ininum iyon at inubos.

"Ilang pasyente ba ang inoperahan mo, doc? Uhaw na uhaw ka ata." Mergrace said. She is grinning at her friend.

Seunjah smirked. " Almost ten? Maraming emergency patients that's why I'm really thirsty. By the way ano itong nababalitaan ko? My hell of a cousin is dating Seri? I taught it's Fat?"

Me too, amore. I'm confused as hell.

Damn, how did she know? Dagdag na naman ito sa iisipin niya. Natahimik na lamang ako nang nagsalita si Fatima.

"I don't know, girl. Alam kung broken ngayon si Fat and we can't see her since lumabas ang issue, nagtanong ako sa Medicine ilang araw na daw siyang hindi pumapasok."

Kumunot ang noo niya.

"That's impossible, hindi papabayaan ni Fatima ang trabaho niya." I heard that Duazon is very hard working girl. Nasabi sa akin ni Hecap.

"Iyon na nga rin ang pinagtataka ko, she just dissappear like a bubble. May alam ka ba?" Tingin nito sa akin.

"Nah, hindi ko alam na ilang araw nang hindi pumapasok si Fatima. Hindi rin kinakamusta sa akin ni Hecap si Fat, nagtataka nga rin ako." Sagot ko.

We three sigh, nagpaalam si Mergrace na bumalik sa information area. Kaming dalawa naman ni Seunjah ay kumain muna sa labas. It's almost six p.m at nakasanayan na naming kumain nang maaga bago bumalik sa ospital. I stare at her while she's chewing her food slowly. She give me a question look.

"You look cute while eating." Kusang lumabas sa aking bibig. Mabilis siyang napainom nang tubig.

"Can you just say it later?" Hinihingal niyang sabi.

"Deep breath, amore. I'm sorry, kusang lumabas iyon sa mga labi ko." She glare at me.

"Mabuti at hindi isda ang ulam natin, kapag ako natinik, naku naku." Umiling iling ito sa akin. I just give her a chuckle. Mas lalong sumama ang tingin niya sa akin.

She look so cute when she's jealous, annoyed, irritated and eating.

"Sa'yo lang naman ako matinik, Seunjah." Banat ko.

"Manahimk ka, Parkers. Tutusukin talaga kita nang tinidor."

I saw how her cheek turns red. She can't resist my charm. My girl is really easy to read, her emotions is so visible for me but her feelings is more deep and you really felt it inside you. She is so soft like a damn cupcake but easy to break like a cookie. She finished her food and I pay for it, half. Hindi siya pumapayag na nagpapalibre. Kung anong gusto niya ay papayagan ko siya. Hindi ako tutol sa mga gusto niyang gawin. Maliban nalang kung magkagusto siya sa iba, hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko kapag nakataon.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Her soft voice echoed in my ears. I held her hand and squeeze it gently.

"Yeah, kahit kinakabahan ako. I will still do it for you." I said.

"Ganoon mo ba talaga ako ka gusto, Siowojen?" She halted and look at me. Straight in my eyes and I met hers.

"Gusto lang? Hindi ba puwedeng mas higit sa gusto, Seunjah? Since my eyes landed on you, I already marked you as mine even I wasn't yours."

"How.. did you know that you're inlove with me?"

"When I always feel my heartbeat beats faster than our practical exams." She laughs.

"Ikaw, paano mo nalamang may pagtingin ka sa akin?" I lifted her chin. She looks so red now, tanging ilaw nang street light ang nagbibigay liwanag sa aming dalawa. Sa kabilang kalsada pa ang ospital. Her reflection in the light makes her more gorgeous.

"When.. I realize that I can't resist you. Kahit anong tangi ko sa sarili kong may iba akong gusto at hindi ikaw, palagi ka pa rin bumabagabag sa isip ko. Kahit gaano ako kampante sa nararamdaman ko para sa taong minamahal ko noon ay mayroon pa ring pakiramdam sa akin na isang tingin mo lang sa akin ay titibag na ako sa'yo.. g-gaanoon ko naramdaman 'yon sa'yo, Siowojen.."

Silence filled between us. I can hear her pulse quicken in my hand, I feel her emotion pouring from her eyes and heart. I know she's inlove with me, I know she feel the same as mine that the two of us is beating the same heartbeats. For the ninth time happiness filled my heart. I take a step closer to her and tilt my neck, slowly..

I claim her lips and give her a soft kiss under on this damn street light.
