I always wonder why people always blame doctors for their love one's death? Hindi ba nila naisip kung anong hirap ang napagdaanan naming mga doktor para lang iligtas ang mga mahal nila sa buhay? We are humans with capabilities of saving human lives but we are not God to put their life back. If they're destined to die in our hands, we are deeply sorry. If we have still have the chance to make the patient alive we're going to do our best.

I look at her tomb. She's lying there. Together with my grandma and grandpa. Seunjah's is now busy for her masters. Kaya naman sinamantala ko munang lumipad patungong Australia para dalawin ang pinakaimportateng babae sa buhay ko. Not just me but for someone who's missing her badly.

"I'm so sorry for leaving you.. Esandra. I am not worthy to be a good father to our son because I am a big coward.. I am sorry, my love." He touch my mom's grave while wiping his tears. Lumapit ako para aluin siya.

"That's enough, Dad. Mom's fine now and she's in safe place. Let's stop blaming and counting our mistakes to ourselves. I'm sure she's happy to see you here.."

"You think so, son?"

Tumango ako. Umupo siya sa sementong upuan na malapit sa puntod ni mommy. We decided to go here since matagal na akong hindi nakakadalawa sa kaniya.

"Mommy.." Paniwala ko. "You know I'm doing great now, natupad ko na ang pangarap kong maging doktor. Alam mo bang doktor rin ang nobya ko? If you're alive, you'll love her, Mom. She's amazing. She is so kind, soft and strong. I always admire her for that. Kahit marami siyang pinagdaanan ay hindi pa rin siya sumusuko, my. Pero ako, ilang beses na akong napada at nagbabakasakaling ikaw ang tumulong sa akin, my.." My tears fell for the first time. Noong inilibing siya ay hindi manlang ako umiyak. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nararamdaman ko noon. Galit ba, kalungkutan o labis na pangungulila. Biglang humangin sa aking direksyon. Napangiti ako nang mapait.

"I'm sure.. you are doing great too. I will continue living as who I am, mom. Pinapatawad ko na si Daddy sa lahat nang ginawa niya sa maraming taon, sa pag-iwan sa akin at sa lahat." I look at Dad.

"Thank you, son." Lumapit ito sa akin at yumakap. For the long years of longing and sadness, my father is there with me for all those years. He is working in a company and he got just promoted last week and I'm glad because of his hardwork.

"I will tell Hecap to have you on his company, would that be okay?" Tanong ko at kumagat sa aking burger. Kumuha siya nang fries mula sa kaniyang plato. Kasalukuyan kaming kumakain sa Mcdonald's nang umalis kami sa sementeryo.

"I think it's a brilliant idea, son." Nakangiting sagot niya.

"How are you, Dad? I mean really. How was your life.. all those years." I gulped when I took a sip in my drink.

"Rough but still kicking, son. Life is hard and cruel to everyone. Not everyone's life is perfect. We may experience hardships, unexpected mistakes that we may regret in the future and unexpected misery. We are all human, we feel pain from different kind but when you feel pain inside you heart you'll feel like you are the big damn coward in the world."

"Yeah, even to me. Sometimes world doesn't agree."

"I know, right? But I trust you at everything son. You are honorable doctor with a badass girlfriend. Ano pa bang hihilingin ko? Apo?"
I almost choke. "There, there." Hinagod nito ang aking likuran para mapakalma ako.

"Dad, Seunjah and I. We're not rushing anything. We still have our priorities in life.."

"Hmm. Yeah, then how many months are you seeing each other already?"

"Almost a year now?"

"And you haven't give her a damn proposal?"

"Dad!"

He laugh. "We're still young-"

"Seunjah is already twenty-nine and you are almost thirty-one, so tell me is that still young? Tumubo na lahat nang balahibo mo sa katawan hindi mo pa rin natatali?" I was shock with his boldness.

"Alright, Dad. I'll think of it, Diore and Juliet is planning to get married next month. Maybe that's a good timing, eh?"

"You what? Propose to his wedding?"

I nodded.

"That sucks!" He hissed. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko.

"Then what you want me to do? Set her a date or something?" Kumunot ang noo niya. Napailing na rin.

"You are so clueless, son listen. You are making your girl say yes, not because you are courting her but to make her say  yes to be with you for the rest of your lives. Marriage is sacred, son. It's a real thing we got here. Ikaw na mismo nagsabi sa aking matagal mo na siyang mahal simula pa noong nag-aaral kayo. So why not now? Bakit pa papatagalin if the both of you is serious in this relationship? You're done with the basic steps already, the both of you is not getting younger."

Natahimik ako.

"Hindi sa minamadali ko kayong dalawa, just think of the future. If you two get married you can start a new thing, a family with your names our tied with each other.. don't miss the most beautiful day of your life, Siowojen. Life is short so make it happened. I'm rooting for you, if you have something in mind just tell me I will help you."

"Thanks, Dad."

"Walang fist bump?" I tss. "Ito na."

We do the fist bump thing and we enjoy exploring Sydney. We stay two nights there and today this will be a long ass flight. I need my vitamin C right now. So I check my phone.

Sorry, love. I was busy yesterday. I promise I'll make it with you when you got home. You know what I mean..

Damn, that woman and her words of seduction. Napailing akong napa-upo sa tabi ni Dad.

"It's your girl? Naughty again?" Tumango ako at napakagat labi.

"Yeah. That's why I will deal this fucking boner for the last eight hours. Damn."

"That's what happend if you have a naughty girlfriend. Good luck with that, boy." He look away and I just smile.

I wake up when the sun rays greeted my sight. How many hours did I sleep? I look at my Dad, he is busy to his phone maybe responding to his emails.

"I just file my resignation letter to the company I've been working, Hecap just email me last night. Tanggap na daw ako sa IC."

That kid. Masyadong mayabang.

"Did we just landed?" I asked huskily.

"Yep, you're asleep from Australia until here. You must be tired." I can feel his concern. The pilot announced that we just got landed, lumabas kami NAIA at nakita ko ang sasakyan sa labas.

"Hey, love. I miss you so so much!" Isang mainit na yakap ang bumati sa akin. Mahigpit ang yakaot niya kaya niyakap ko rin siya pabalik sabay halik sa kaniyang noo.

"I miss you, too love. I miss my home." She smile and she greeted my dad. The gang is waiting at her house and hell yeah, there's a party tonight. My girl never failed to amaze me whole damn time.
