Menaid

I let out a big breath as I open the passenger seat. Seunjah get out gracefully with her black stilettos with her white fitted dress. Damn, she looks so lovely and sexy as hell. Mabilis ko siyang hinawakan sa kamay nang papasok na kami sa kanilang bahay or should I say, their mansion?

Their house is old but still beautiful, ang ibang parte ay napapanahon ma rin pero may ibang mga parte rin na kailangan pang irenovate. Six P.M kami dumating, mamayang alas syete pa ang dinner.

"Is this lil bit early, love?" She just smile at me as I sat beside her  in their long brown sofa.

"Don't mind them, Papa won't eat you. Chill, he's fine."

She gently grip my hand. Sumandal rin siya sa aking balikat at maya maya pa ay bumaba sa kanilang hagdan ang kaniyang Mama. Tita Sorriena's eyes lingered on me, I feel how Seunjah smile in my shoulders. Small moves, I already know it was hers.

"Good evening po, Tita." Bati ko at tatayo na sana.

"Just sit hijo, alam kong pagod kayo sa trabaho. Hija, how's your week?"

"Fine, Mama. Tumawag ba sa inyo si Hecap?" Huminga nang malalim si Tita Sorriena. Tumingin ito kay Seunjah na may problema sa kaniyang mga mata.

I don't like this.

"Right now, mukhang hindi maganda ang estado nang IC. May nakitang files ang Zcars mula sa opisina ni Hecap at alam kung hindi iyon gagawin nang batang iyon. Alam kong malalim ang galit nito sa kay Zerah Regus.." Napatingin ito sa akin.

"Na ngayon ay pinsan mo na rin, Siowojen." Tumango ako.

"They started to investigate IC files and financial files." Napahilot ito sa kaniyang sentido.

I know they are all stress here and I really appreciate how they manage to give us time to have this simple dinner on their home. Menaid is kind and hospitable, I can say.

"Are they here?" Isang malalim na boses ang nagmula sa likuran ni Tita Sorriena.

"Good evening, sir." Mabilis akong tumuwid nang tayo. I met his father's eyes. He looks so serious and scary. I hide everything under my sleeves and manage to stand still infront of him.

"Finally meet you, Mr. Parkers, Siowojen right?" Inilahad nito ang kaniyang kamay.

"Yes, sir." Sagot ako at tinangap ang kamay na nakalahad.

"Drop the formality. I can see my daughter's bright smile, sigurado akong masaya siya sa piling mo. Sorriena please prepare the table alam nating abala sa trabaho ang mga doktor, our daughter must be tired and let's finished this simple dinner and let them rest here.. is that okay for you, hijo?"

"No worries, Papa." Si Seunjah ang sumagot.
I never see this coming. Tumango na nga lang rin ako.

"No worries, Sir. I mean, I- I don't know what really should I call you-"

"Just tito, hijo." Tinapik nito ang aking braso.

"Hal, handa na ang hapunan." His wife declare. Iniwan niya kami sa kanilang sala. I look at my girl, she's already looking at me.

"I told you they'll love you." She wink. Hinila niya ako patungo sa kanilang dining room, the place is spacious but I can't help to compare my aunt's house. Aunt Z's house is three times bigger that theirs. Umupo ako sa tabi ni Seunjah, maraming putahe ang nasa harapan namin.

"So let's pray, first? Seunjah lead the prayer." Her mother says.

"In the name of the father, the son, the holy spirit, amen. Dear lord thank you for the food that we are going to partite, please guide us and bless us for our daily undertaking. This is what I ask in Jesus name. Amen."
