Oh no, oh no, oh no.
Faith sat on my windowsill with her mouth hanging open. I need to start locking my window. People show up at the worst and most unannounced times. Why my window?
I sat frozen before jumping away from Brooks. I don't know why. Faith already saw everything she needed to come to her conclusion.
"Oh my gosh," Faith said softer this time. She stood up from the window and looked between us a couple times. "You. Him. Y'all. Together. Oh my gosh. I can't believe it."
I squeezed my eyes shut. Please, just let me disappear. That would be weird too, because then it would just be Brooks in my room. I sighed. "Faith, what are you doing here?"
Faith looked between us again. "I came to spend the day with my friend, but instead I found her making out with a super hot popstar."
Brooks stands up and brushes his jeans off slightly. He hold his hand out to Faith. "Uh, hi. You must be Faith, Allie's best friend."
Faith looked down at his hand before returning the handshake. "Yes, I am, and you must be, Brooks, Allie's soulmate."
Brooks eyes widened as he looked over at me. I looked down in embarrassment. "You told her! You didn't tell me you told her."
I stepped towards him. "You didn't tell me you were going to be on the red carpet with Ashley Bruen," I snapped back.
"Wait, you showed up on the red carpet with Ashley Bruen?" Faith asks. She then proceeds to slap Brooks on the arm multiple times. "Are. you. freaking. stupid?"
Brooks steps backward to sit on my bed again and to escape Faith's wrath. "Babe, I'm being attacked."
I stick out my bottom lip. "You deserve it, and my nickname is beautiful. Babe sounds generic."
Brooks rolls his eyes.
"Anyway," Faith says," since you said you wouldn't be at school today, I thought we could have a movie day."
I grinned. "Yes! I have been meaning to binge the Twilight series." I turn to Brooks. "Are you able to watch movies with us today?"
"I think I can take the day off."
I hop over to my door. "Yes! Let's go."
We all head down stairs and a put a bag of popcorn into the microwave. I also find my secret stash of Oreos and Doritos and sit them on the coffee table. Faith pops the first twilight into the DVD player.
"Brooks will you help me grab some pillows and blankets from upstairs?"
"Of course."
Brooks follows me upstairs and into my room. I open my closet and grab my fluffiest blankets. "I'm sorry I told Faith."
Brooks comes behind me and hugs me around my waist. He rests his head on my shoulder next to my neck. "It's okay, I understand. I shouldn't expect you to shut everyone out of your life for me."
"I promise she won't tell anyone." My voice was quiet.
Brooks leaves a quick kiss on my neck. "I trust you."
My head started spinning as he leaves another quick kiss. "Brooks."
Brooks laughs slightly. "What?"
"You can't do that."
"Why not?" he teases and leaves another kiss.
"Because, you distracting me from grabbing covers, and we have to get back downstairs to watch the movie with Faith."
