"Sam, you're 19. If you get caught, you're going to be in big trouble. Don't think I'm doing this to annoy you, I am looking out for you." His mom, Lori, said while he ate his breakfast. This is the third time this week she spoke to him about drinking so much. He's been coming home in the wee hours of the morning, drunk.

I looked at my boyfriend, then back to Lori. "Avianna, sweetie, how do you feel about his reckless behavior?" She asked me. They both looked at me, with different emotions. I knew Sammy wanted me to back him up because we've talked about this before. His mother on the other hand, wanted me completely against him, she even talked to me about taking a break with him.

"Well, I don't like Sammy's behavior, I really don't. Im scared he might come home hurt or worse, but he should be let off the hook," Sammy jumped up, and pointed to Lori, while she gave me a surprised look, "I told you mom, this isn't as bad as you think it is."

I glared at him. "You didn't let me finish," he sat back down, "I'm saying he should be let off the hook because I'm going to be looking after him," his mouth went wide and his mothers lips curved into a smile, "I'll go with him to the parties, makes sure he's home by 11, not drunk or high. Basically sober."

She gave me a look of approval and I knew I did the right thing. This was definitely going to be a challenge for me because I don't like parties that much, especially since it has drugs and alcohol involved. But it frightens me to death because I don't know how Sammy might end up. He drives under the influence, which risks lives, not just his, but other peoples.

"Alright, I'm going to head off to work now. If you're leaving the house just text me." She walked over to the kitchen to place her plate in the sink. Before she left she gave Sam and I a quick hug. Grabbing her things, she left the house. It was completely silent, except for the rain that was clunking against the roof of the house. I knew Sammy was angry with me because things didn't go the way he wanted it to go. But, I wasn't just going to sit here and give him the license to do dangerous things.

Before I could say anything to break the silence, he spoke up, "What the hell Avianna. Really? Going with me to a type of scene you're not entirely into?" he sounded some what pissed but what could I do. I was already being put on the spot and I had to choose between my boyfriend and his mother. "Babe, I'm looking after you. Don't get angry with me for trying to be on both sides."

He rolled his eyes, "You don't need to look after me. I'm old enough to take care of myself." Now he's just being a big baby. And why didn't he want me to go to these parties with him? Is he cheating on me? Well he better not or he won't see another day. "Im doing it because I love you. Did you forget that?" I snapped at him. He was just really getting annoying. I was trying my best to stay patient with him but he wanted to get an attitude with me for caring.

I got up from the table, grabbed my plate, and walk over to the sink. I heard him quietly sigh, sounding stressed. I heard him get up and make his way toward me. As I began washing the dishes, I felt his arms wrap around my waist and placed his head on my shoulder. "Im sorry. I know you love me and I love you. Im appreciative that you want to watch out for me, even at places that make you uncomfortable. It's just that I get carried away at these parties."

I didn't say a word, just continued washing the dishes. He shut the water off and turned me so I was facing him. I directed my gaze on something that was behind him. "Hey," he said, trying to grab my attention, "Avianna, baby. I love you, don't let my stupid behavior get in the way of our relationship." I finally met his eyes, the same pair I fell in love. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a slight smile. His arms snaked around my waist, "That smile is pretty darn cute, but that's not the one I was hoping for."

I felt the heat rise to my cheeks, as I covered my face in his neck, smiling like a complete idiot. He still managed to find a way to make me feel so flustered. No matter how much I've heard those exact words before, they all still had an effect on me. "Stop hiding your beautiful face from me." he said, letting go of my waist, and gently cupping my face to his. I was studying his face, something that I do occasionally, but I somehow manage to discover a new feature each time. He directed his gaze to my lips, then back at my eyes.

He slowly leaned in, my eyes automatically closed. I felt his lips press against mine, the most relaxing, yet pleasurable feeling in the whole world. He slowly pulled away and smiled, his dimples visible. "I love you." I said, as my lips curved into a big smile. "I love you more."

Just before he could lean in again, his phone rang. He quickly pecked my cheek before he walked over to it. "Yo man, what's up?" I returned to finishing up the dishes. "Nah, it's just me Anna. We're just chillin, y'all can come over." I put up the last of the dish and sat on the counter. "Alright, see you in a few. Love you man." he hung up the phone and made his way over towards me.

As he walked in front of me, I wrapped my legs around his torso. "It was Johnson, he's coming over later with Nate and Gilinsky to hang with us." I nodded as I played with the hem of my t-shirt. I was planning on hanging out with my good friend, Mark. Sammy doesn't really like it when I do hang out with him cause one, he's a guy, and two, he feels like just because we used too date, we might get back together. The reason as to why we broke up is because we felt like we were better off friends. I trust him with my life, and he's like my bestfriend. He is my bestfriend.

"I was going to hang out with Mark." His facial expression changed. 0-100 real quick if ya know what I'm saying. "You know how I feel about him." he said, looking down. Sam just lets his jealousy get to the best of him. I can't even really hang out with any of my guy friends because I don't want him to get jealous. "Well, you're my boyfriend and he's my bestfriend. You have to learn to like him so I'm going to invite him over." He shook his head, rapidly refusing. "Sorry babe, I would do anything for you but I will not try to get along with your bestfriend, and you are definitely not inviting him over my house."

I slapped him in the chest with annoyance. "Stop whining. He's coming over, deal with it," I jumped off the counter, "Please just do this for me you're the only one out of all of us that doesn't like him." I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room, sitting on the couch. Wow, tonight is going to be quite eventful.
