Jay parked the car at the side of the road after we drove another twenty minutes. The road we were on was almost gone, and it began harder to move on it. I open the door and step into the cold air.

Swinging my backpack on my shoulders, I close the door behind me before turning around to Jay. He closed his door behind him before looking around.

"Do you know where we are?" I asked, walking around the car to meet him.

"Kind of. My dad told me about this place, but I know which way we need to go to find the area where the plants are." I nodded my head looking around.

There were fewer trees here, so it was more clearer. The snow was starting to stop falling.

"Come on, let's go this way," Jay said, heading towards a direction.

I began to follow him without saying a word. When we were walking, I began to look around. Like I said before, I was not too fond of the forest at all, but I'm glad that I wasn't alone. It's not that I had a feeling that something terrible is around here, but I wasn't at ease either. It's probably all in my head because I'm nervous and stuff.

After walking for ten minutes, we came to a little clearing. I look around and saw that most of the plants are cover in snow. It's probably harder to find the plants we're going to need. Jay stopped making me stop behind him.

I saw him looking around before letting out a deep breath. He was probably thinking the same thing as me.

"So, what now?" I asked, walking up next to him.

"Look at any plants you see. They have to be around here."

I took my bag from my shoulders before opening it. I took the papers we need and gave the halve to Jay. He took one side while I took the other one.

I began to look at any plant I see, wiping off the snow so that I can take a better look at them. I found one that we needed. We needed to take some pictures of them and take notes about what was around them and how the plants looked in their surroundings.

I took some notes before taking some pictures of them with my phone. I looked at the pictures to see if they were okay. While looking at some pictures, I notice something in the background of one of them.

Squinting my eyes and zooming in, it looked like someone or something black was standing behind a tree. Quickly I look up at the tree that that thing was standing behind but didn't see anything. I look down back at my phone, and to my surprise, it was gone from the picture.

Blinking a few times and swiping away before swiping back to that picture to make sure that I didn't imagine it being gone, but it was truly gone.

"I need more sleep," I whisper to myself, putting my phone away in my pocket, not before seeing that I have no service here.

Great, if something happens, we can't call anyone to help us.
