"He just vanished?"
The four of us were walking to the head cabin to meet up with the rest of our class. We were all tired of the events that happened last night. Afterward, we didn't get more sleep. At least me and Jay.
We were too worried about the demon-wolf coming back or the person who made it disappear. Whoever it was, was very powerful.
"Yes, Faye, as we said for the hundred time, he made the demon-wolf disappear before disappearing himself," Jay said, annoyed by his sister.
Faye rolled her eyes at him before answering.
"I'm just trying to figure out who it was, okay?"
We all were trying to figure out who it was and why he helped Jay and me. But I can't think of anyone who would help me, not with that kind of power. I was just happy that none of us died. It's a miracle that Paul had survived an attack like that. Humans are easy to kill by things like that.
"I would like to know who send something like that after us," Paul said, holding his side.
We were all happy that he woke up this morning. There was still a wound on his side, but the bleeding had stopped, and the pain wasn't as bad as before. Faye had already nursed the wound and bandaged it so it wouldn't get affected.
"Guys! What if it was someone from the cult!" Faye said, stepping in front of us making us come to a stop.

"Think about it. We haven't seen them in a long time. They practically live in the woods, and we're right in it!" I bite the inside of my cheek, thinking about it.
She had a point. They haven't shown us any sign from them for a long time.
"But we're almost two hours from Briggs. Don't you think they would stay there?" Jay said, looking at his sister.
She shook her head, looking at me.
"Not if they are after Ava. If I were them, I would find this an opportunity to take her and kill her friends."
