I open the school doors hoping it would be an easy day. It was Monday, and the first day I left the house after the whole demon accident. Aunt Meg said that I could stay home for another few days, but I didn't want to stay locked up in the house anymore after staying in the hospital for a few days.
My leg still hurt, and I'm walking with a limp. Sometimes I would get headaches from being thrown away a few times, hitting my head against trees and rocks. There are bruises on parts of my back and stomach, but they heal fast with Aunt Meg's help.
I haven't heard anything from Jay yet. I kind of wish I would see him today at school, but after what the demon did to him, I don't know if he's going to show up today. Of course, when I was in the hospital, the sheriff came and asked what had happened.
Before I could answer, Aunt Meg spoke up, telling him that some animal attacked us. For some reason, I played along. I mean, what was I supposed to do. Tell them that a demon was summoned to kill me.
They would never believe that. When the sheriff was gone, I told her that Jay would tell something different. She told me not to worry about it and that she will fix it. I had no idea what she was talking about and just let it slide.
My aunt brought me to school because she didn't want to let me go on the bus. Faye couldn't drive me because they don't' have a car anymore. That's what my aunt told me. She had called their parents asking if Jay was okay and telling them that she would bring me to school.
I'm sure that the whole school will know what happened and ask questions about it. I was not in the mood to answer them.
I like being invisible. That way, they can't hurt me.
I was the loser in my other school, the outcast who was picked on by everyone. It's not like I had done anything.
It's just.
I was an easy target, I guess.
I was at my locker, putting my stuff inside and taking out the books that I needed for my first class.
When I hear someone yelling my name, I look up and saw Paul running towards me. Before I could say something or do something, he pulled me in a hug. He pulled me close while I had no idea what to do, so hesitantly, I put my arms around him, patting his back awkwardly.
