"Krystal" someone shook me from my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I blinked as Charis pointed behind me. I turned back to see who all the attention was going to only to find Jace walking up to me.

I guess the last time we spoke was on the first day of school, when he walked past me with a smile. The same smile that is currently on his face as he approaches me.

"Hey Krystal" He stands in front of me as he runs his hand through his hair, I guess nervous, "can I talk to you for a minute" he looks around my friends, as if asking for permission.

"Yeah sure, I'll see you guys at lunch" they all nodded their head as Charis winked at me and they made their way to the cafeteria. I turned towards him, "so you wanted to speak to me?"

"Yeah, um I just wanted to ask you something"

"Sure, go on" I breath out.

"Okay, how you doing?" He asks nervously, his eyes darting from left to right trying as much as possible to avoid mine. "I heard about Kevin's accident and I guess I wanted to check up on you" 

"I've been good though. Thanks for asking, that's so sweet of you"

He nodded, smiling, "um, so I was thinking if we could go out after practice. You know...for a drink or something"

I smiled at him as my sarcastic nature kicks in again, "real smooth Jace, real smooth. But...I'll think about it, you can ask me about it later, maybe after practice" I smirk at him, gliding through the now almost empty halls to the cafeteria.

I quickly walk up to the others and just by their faces, I could tell they were waiting for me to juice out the details to them. "Well sorry guys, no juices today. Just a girl who got asked out" I sassed around.

Charis screamed lunging at me with her arms rapped around my neck. "Oh my God, oh my God, you got asked out by Jace" she kept muttering stuff about it to herself.

Then she started freaking out, "wow Charis, calm down" Joey says, resting his hands on her shoulders. I could feel her stiffen around me.

Oh my God, oh my God, did you feel that

Well technically I felt that not you

But then did you, oh my God, she reacted to his hand

"And that is exactly why I know him, and I don't think he's right for you, at least" he was now staring at me with his hand stuck in his hair and wide blue eyes staring me down.
