Chapter 13 - Touché

I didn't expect what I saw. The sight before me was so unexpected and...nice. Scarlett, Charis, Zeph and Zack were all in the room laughing and having fun with Kev.

But what actually caught my attention was the brunette sitting beside him. I walked right into the room with my brothers in tow. "Hey guys" I said all grinning and bubbly.

"Hey!" They all respond. "So how was your supposed rest at home" Charis asks. I guess Liam must have told her.

"It was alright" I said taking a sit at the edge of the bed. "Actually the reason why I came here was to keep him company and all, but it looks like he's good" I look up at Kevin who was grinning down at me.

"Kev, man how are you" John walks right up to him, clasping his hands in a brotherly hand shake.

Adam snorts, "more like boy" with that Kevin tries to kick through his covers but fails miserably.

"I guess you should really have your rest" I tell Kevin, while giving him a knowing smile. With that I draw my attention back to the girl sitting beside my brother. "Hey there, nice seeing you again"

"Yeah" she whispers shyly.

"Well, I didn't expect you to be here"

"Yeah,me too" I urge her on to continue speaking with my eyes. "Um okay, soo....."

I could sense the uneasiness in her voice, and so I called her out to the corridor, "yeah" she asks

"Sooo," I too had been at a loss of words. "This is harder than I thought" I  mutter under my breath, but she hears me.

"Totally," she gives me a small smile and I chuckle.

"Let me start from saying, thank you" I say running my hands through my hair with a sigh.

"Thank you for what" she says surprised. "We hit each other and he was badly hurt, I don't see the reason you're thanking me"

I chuckle at her expression, "yeah, you hit him and all, but what what matters most is that you stayed, you called me out of my panic attack. You actually tried saving him. You came back to check up on him. You had the decency to also check up on me. That's a lot for just one thank you." I smile at her.

She looks at me for a while before adding, "I didn't hit him, we hit each other"

I give her a bewildered look, "is that seriously all you got from that?" She laughs at my expression.

"What?!"

"Nothing" she says after she calmed down. Then she gave me a bone crushing hug.

And I mean a bone crushing hug

"Alright, pretty girl" I force out while I pat her back.

"Sorry" she squeaked out, releasing me.

"It's okay, so in all of this, I didn't quite catch your name" I say smiling.

"Right my name is Elena"

"Are you serious" I ask seriously surprised. I didn't expect to meet anyone with that name in my life time.

"Why?"

I smile at her, if only she new

"Nothing" I say in a singsong manner.

I begin walking back to the room, "what?" She whines still following me.

"Like I said nothing" I enter into the room positioning myself back on the bed.

She walks over to me, arms akimbo, with a serious face "I honestly didn't know you were this stubborn" I say

"Why start a conversation, you weren't going to finish" she fires back at me.
