Chapter 18 - nothing too incriminating

I walk down the spiral stairs, trying to braid my hair into a ponytail. I wore a white crop top and denim shorts, making sure to have worn a bikini underneath.

I reach the end of the stairs, turning on my heels providing frictional sounds with my converse, thereby gaining everyone's attention.

"Finally" Charis throws her hands up in exasperation, "the princess arrives" I hear snickers around as I raise an eyebrow and decide to go with the flow.

"Oh, it's a pleasure!" I curtsey then wave, walking majestically towards were she was on the ottoman. "How may I be of help to you" I stand in front of her with a smirk while everyone was watching our little play.

"Hhhmmm, let's see princess...how about you drag your fat ass to the cars waiting outside, yeah" I pouted at her exclamation while the others chuckled. "What took you so damn long woman?" I shrugged while she stood up.

She pulled me behind her, taking me outside. As we walked down the stairs, I could see everyone's car. There was Kev's car which was the Benz and Roderick's car which happened to be an Audi.

I walk behind Charis as Scarlett calls out to me. I turn towards her wondering what the problem was. "Yeah?" I ask her.

"Just wanted to ask what's up with you and Liam" she walks beside me, holding my arm close to her chest.

Well, that wasn't what I was expecting at all.

I turn my head to her with a frown, "what do you mean?"

"Kev and Liam were whispering shit at one time, between each other and we may or may not have eased dropped" Charis whispers between the three of us. Before I could give them the look, they both whisper yelled, "I'm sorry!" I shook my head at them with a disappointed sigh.

"So what did they say" I ask them.

Hopefully, nothing too incriminating

Charis cleared her throat and I gave her a pointed look. "I didn't hear much-God those boys know how to whisper- but what I did hear was your name and a distressed Liam and Kevin, more Liam" Scarlett sighs. I could see Liam at the corner of my eyes chuckling at what Roderick had said.

Stalker

My mind screamed at me

He's in my house, who's the stalker!!

"I guess I don't know what you're talking about, but there's nothing going on between us" I began walking, then stop abruptly, turning to face them "as it ever occurred to you guys that I just met him like Monday?" I put my hand on my waist, resting on one hip.

"So?" Charis asks.

"So, when have you ever dated a guy you met within a week?" I lift an eyebrow in question.

She rolled her eyes, "whatever" she walks past me.

Oh, what have I done now...

Scarlett gives me a look before following her down the steps. I sigh as I do the same. I didn't understand what the whole thing was about. I just didn't like the pairing. I was ready to have a boyfriend, I mean I always wanted a boyfriend but then...even I didn't get myself. I just didn't want him for some reason or I did.

I do not.

I stopped in front of the cars, as my eyes travel to the strange car parked to the side of my home.

Wow, it's a Bugatti.

My hands were itching to touch them. I mean I'd seen them around but never once touched them.

Yeah, sport cars were hardly parked or used in my home.

Most times we used luxury cars. I inch closer to it, looking around I saw everyone was busy doing their own thing. I quickly walk towards the car, placing my hands on the warm body of the car, tracing it in awe, till I see an inscription.

Wow, this was Liam's car.

I'm in love

Baby sweep me off my feet in a Bugatti.

I didn't realise when I plastered the side of my face to the bonnet.

"What are you doing?" Liam's voice boomed from beside me. I jumped, scared to shit. My face was as red as a ripe tomato. I covered my nose and mouth, breathing a reassuring breath then moving it down to my chest.

"What did you do that for?" I asked him. His head was bent to the side and an amused smile on his face. My heart raced, and at that point I was thankful my hand was already placed on my chest. I could feel a burst of butterflies in my tommy and I rested a little on the car at the intensity of the feeling.

What is happening?

He touched me and I jerked away walking all the way to my friends. I could feel his stare on my back as I reached my friends and they all gave me weird looks at my flushed face, "when do we go?" I announced already dreading the whole situation.

"We go now, come on people" Kev yelled.

"Kev, where are we going?" I poked him from the back sit, beside Charis. Scarlett didn't want to get in this car, and I was guessing it was because of the presence of Roderick in the front sit.

"Patience!, that's all I ask for!" He half - yelled at me. I chuckled considering I'd been asking the same question for the past few minutes.

I huffed turning back to Charis who was about to start a conversation when the music was blasted in the car.

That's my weakness, baby

Kev pulled up into a very familiar parking lot. He stops the car at the entrance and Charis and I scramble out. We watch as the others climb out of their cars, then watch the drivers park the car.

I could visibly tell the confused, nervous and excites state of everyone as they kept murmuring words to each other.

I had a very strong urge to shut then up and ask the inevitable question, "what are we doing here?" I ask Kevin as he prances over to us.

I turn around, looking at the massive studio standing in front of us. "We're here on a tour"

I raise an eyebrow, "of mum's work place?" I ask, feeling the excitement brewing from my stomach, spreading upward till it reaches my face which is now spread in a full blown grin.
