Out In London

***Jessica’s POV***

 “TO THE WINDOW!”

“To the window…”

“TO THE WALL!”

“To the wall…”

“TO THE SWEAT RUNNING DOWN MY B-!”

“LOUIS!” Liam screamed cutting off Lou from finishing his not so PG 13 rated song.

“Sorry Daddy Direction…” Lou pouted making us all laugh at his inner child.

“So we’re we going again?” Brittney asked for the millionth time causing me to tilt my head back and release a not so secret sigh.

“Huh… I told you Britt, we’re going to go pick up Kayla. I want you guys to meet her.”

We shook our heads as Lou began singing, or screaming, Wide Awake by Katy Perry, giving us a creepy looks at the chorus. Groaning we decided to ignore Louis for the rest of the ride. It wasn’t until Louis thought it would be a great idea for him to stick his head out the window in the cool London air that we began screaming at him again. He was an idiot… we should really get him tested…

When the car came to a stop Britt and I were surprised to see it was outside our complex. It didn’t take me too long to put two and two together.

“No freakin way…” I muttered putting a hand on my forehead.

“What?” A husky voice said in my ear making me shiver. I looked over my shoulder to see Niall’s penetrating blue eyes looking into mine.

“I know Kayla. I met her the other day at the café I met you at. Turns out she’s our neighbor.”

“That is surprising.”

“Yeah I know, you should have seen how surprised I was when I found out her flat was right beside-.”

“Why do you do that?”

“Do what?” I questioned my voice barely above a whisper as I could feel Niall’s breath on my face.

“You were born in America, I’m not stupid, but you don’t say “apartment” or “elevator”, I’ve noticed it for a while but I didn’t ask why. How come Princess?”

My face became red hot at his question; I hadn’t really wanted people to notice I wasn’t from here. I wanted to blend in as crazy as it sounded.

“My parents don’t know I’m in London or living here, I wanted to blend in as best as possible. I figured if I adapted to living here and talking like I was from here no one would notice.”

“But I did.”

“Yes you did…” I breathed as Niall’s gaze shifted from my eyes to my lips. My ovaries are so not prepared for this.

A car door slammed near the front making both me and Niall turn to face the noise. My eyes were still widened by Niall’s closeness. I’m shy, sue me…

Actually don’t, I’m poor.

“Jessica?!” A voice said from the second row bringing me out of my day dreams. I turned to face the front smiling at a shocked shivering Kayla.

“The one and only.”

“I had no idea you knew the boys.” She said, obviously shocked. Liam smiled warmly at her before throwing an arm around her shoulder. Oooooh, I see a romance blossoming!
