Chapter 34

Two Couples Down, One To Go

***Niall’s POV***

“On other news, a 19-year-old was found dead after being hit by a moving vehicle. Police say she ran out in tra-.”

Click.

“So we’ve all heard of Niall Horan from One Direction missing girlfriend have we not? Well just yesterday morning he found her, and then she ran into the middle of the London streets! Crazy ri-.”

Click.

“Niall Hora-.”

Click.

“One Dir-.”

Click.

“Niall-.”

Click.

“Niall.”

My head whipped from the TV in the corner to my sleeping princess in the hospital bed. Letting out a sleepy sigh she shuffle until she was facing me before falling back to sleep.

How we got here, I had no idea. One moment we were happy, and then next she runs from me with our child. What possessed her to do that I had no idea. What made it worse was she hid right under my nose, with one of my mates.

“Niall, mate?” A voice said from behind me, I refused to take my eyes off the gorgeous girl in front of me, nothing could. “The baby’s okay, the car hit her back meaning she took most of the damage.”

Closing my eyes I let out a sigh of relief. The babe had caused our relationship so much trouble, but that didn’t mean I loved it any less. It was part of Jessica, it was part of me, I could not love it.

“Mind telling me why?”

“I’m sorry, mate. She made me swear not to tell. I was… I was going to make her tell you at some point. At least talk to you.” Ed said as he sat on the seat beside me, his hands folded in his lap.

“Did you two ever…?” I asked my voice becoming hoarse as I carried the sentence on.

“What?! No! No, she has never seen me as anything more than a brother.”

“What about you?”

“I… I… I like her, a lot.”

Bawling my hand in a fist I gritted my teeth, stopping from saying anything. Just as I was about the open my mouth to speak a soft, delicate voice cut me off. “Ni?”

Snapping my head up I looked at Jessica, who now had her eyes slated open barely. “Yeah, I’m right here Princess.”

“I’m sorry. Please don’t leave me.”

Kissing her weak hand I nodded, feeling tears bubble in my eyes. “Never, not when I just got you back.”

As soon as Jessica fell back asleep I turned toward a quiet Ed. “I just want her to be happy Ed, that’s all I want. If Jessica wakes up and says she wants to be with you then I’ll back down, but I won’t stop fighting. Ever. That babe inside of her was made out of love, our love, I can’t forget that.”
