~Chapter 9~

Sakura opened the door to the bathroom as she was now in her daily clothes. Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi had already gotten ready; they were all waiting on (Y/N) now. Naruto tapped his foot on the ground impatiently.
"Alright that's it! I'm going to wake that sleepy head up!"
Naruto stomps upstairs as Sasuke looks up at Kakashi.
"You're gonna let him go up there with her alone?"
An aura surrounds Kakashi that feels as if it is a warning.
"I know he would do anything to hurt hrt. Plus, he knows what would happen if he did."
Sasuke and Sakura take a step away from Kakashi as they hear his words.

The door to (Y/N)'s room slams open as the girl snuggles closer to the blankets.
"Hey! (Y/N)! Get up! We;re all waiting for you!"
Naruto walks closer to (Y/N) as she complains. Tripping over a loose board causes Naruto to fall forward on top of (Y/N). Naruto lands on top of (Y/N)'s chest causing his face to go red.

Kakashi, Sakra, and Sasuke all look up at the sound of the bang. Kakashi begins to make his way to his daughter's room.
"N-N-Naruto!"
Sasuke and Sakura share confused looks as they hear (Y/N) yell. Kakashi slides the door open further only to get the wrong idea. (Y/N) and Naruto freeze as they see Kakashi standing in the doorway. Kakashi had walked in on what looked like... grown up stuff when Naruto had simply tripped and just so happened for his face to fall into her chest. Suddenly, Kakashi had his hand gripping the back of Naruto's jacket as he pulled him apart from his daughter while (Y/N) rushed to her feet.
"Naruto. I'm sure you have a good explanation for this. Now, go downstairs with Sakura and Sasuke. I will stay up here to make sure (Y/N) does not go back to sleep."
Naruto nods quickly as he rushes downstairs.

Sasuke and Sakura give Naruto confused looks as he steps off of the last step with a red face.
"What happened up there?"
Sakura asks as she pokes Naruto in the head. Naruto flinches when she touches him.
"I'm sorry Kakashi Sensei! It wasn't what it looked like! I swear! I tripped! I wasn't taking advantage of her I promise! Please forgive me! I'm begging you!"
Sakura jumps away from him as Sasuke gives him a weird look. Kakashi comes downstairs with his daughter behind him.
"I see. I didn't think you were the type to do that. I forgive you."

Naruto lets out a sigh of relief as he stands back to his knees, blushing once again when he sees (Y/N). Sasuke sighs.
"I don't know what happened up there, but can we get going? I think Tazuna may need protection sometime before the bridge is done."
Kakashi nods as he begins to make his way out the door with his team following close behind. The group soon reaches the bridge as Sasuke stops. Kakashi turns around with a cocked eyebrow.
"Why did you stop, Sasuke?"
Sasue looked past the group and onto the bridge.
"Does none of you notice how the fog has only increased since yesterday?"
His words cause the group to do a double-take on their surroundings.

(Y/N)'s sharp ears pick up the noise of a short cry for help. Without saying a word, she rushes off onto the bridge to try and help the innocent soul as her team follows after her. Soon reaching the middle of the bridge where Tazuna had been working, 4 water clones of Zabuza appear in the group's path. Sasuke throws his kunais and ninja stars at the clones to give the group a clear path as to what was going on.

Behind them, the same masked ninja from before they had arrived showed up with Zabuza. Kakashi grits his teeth while confirming his suspicions. Sakura notices Tazuna on the sidelines of the bridge as she rushes to stand in front of him with a Kunai at hand.

"Hey there pretty lady."
The sound of a deep voice brings the woman to turn around. Only to see two large men standing in her doorway. A scream is heard throughout the household causing Inari, who was upstairs to come rushing down.
"Mom!"
He screams for his mother as he sees the thugs that now have her in his hold. She bites the man's hand that covers her mouth while also earning a hit on the side of the head.
"Inari! Please just go back upstairs! You won't get hurt that way! Please!"
Inari stares blankly at the scene in front of him as he hears (Y/N)'s recent words float through his head.
You have a whole lot, Inari. It may not seem like it, but trust me, people care. So many people care when you don't even know it. I promise. People care.
