✤ Departure & Return (This Is Where Shippuden Begins)

~Chapter 16~

Akamaru chased after a butterfly while Kiba and Shino walked along a sidewalk. "It's weird for you to join me on my walk with Akamaru." Kiba said. "Especially when We're going to meet later with Sensei later today."

"Spending time to chat every now and then is a part of building team work." Shino responded. Kiba watched while Akamaru jumped at a bug flying in the air. "You're sulking about not being able to come on the Sasuke mission, aren't you?"

"Would either of you like some tea?" Hinata asked while holding a tray with two cups of tea on it. Her dad nodded. "Let's take a break, Neji."

"Lady Hinata." Neji said while he sat down next to her. "Naruto and (Y/N) are leaving for their training today. Are you going to see them off?"

Kiba's loud voice barked, "didn't you hear?! Hinata visited them at the hospital. The moment she saw the bandages around Naruto, she fainted right off the spot." Shino stayed quiet as Kiba laughed.

"Kiba please..."

Choji ate all the food he could possibly take with his team. "You know, when they let you out of the hospital, you looked kinda nice and thin,"Ino said, sweat dropping. "But you sure bounced back like a champ."

"With that kind of appetite, I wouldn't worry  about your body anymore." Asuma sweatdropped. Choji grinned up at his Sensei. "When we're done here, let's start on our training!"

"Are you insane?! You're still recovering!" Ino yelled while Asuma lit a cigarette.

"Let's take a break, Lee.." Guy said from his place sprawled out on the ground. Lee kicked a leg up in the air despite the sweat rolling down his face. "Come on Guy Sensei! The springtime of our youth won't last forever!"

TenTen giggled from the sidelines at Guy's look of dread.

"See ya, get home safe." Shikamaru said to the three sand ninja in front of him at the village gates. "Thanks." Kankuro said as the three turned to go back home.

"Wait—man I should not be running.." (Y/N)'s voice rang out, catching the three before they left. Gaara was sorta surprised to see (Y/N) there, but said nothing. Without warning, (Y/N) hugged Gaara, surprising everybody. "Try to take care of yourself."

(Y/N) have one last smile at the three before she ran back into the village, most likely to begin packing. Gaara managed to hide his smile from the other three.

Temari looked over her shoulder at Shikamaru as the three sand ninja resumed their walk home. "If anything comes up, just ding us. We'll help you out. Got it, crybaby?"

Shikamaru grinned at her. "Always have to have the last word."

(Y/N) was at her and her father's home. He was off on an important mission today, so she wouldn't be able to say her goodbyes. She did leave a note telling him to take care of himself and she'll be back in two and a half years or so.

A knockI came at the door and Jiraiya opened it. "You ready, kid?" (Y/N) nodded while picking up her book bag. "As ready as I'll ever be!"

The white haired male gave a gentle smile and walked out to the sidewalk to wait for (Y/N) as she said her last goodbyes to her home before she was gone for years.
