D A Y
☆Learning the guitar is hard. Especially when you practise 5 hours a day and still don't get it right.
I switch to playing my parts in the reckless and the brave. Me and Niall have been focusing on Paint your Wings, because there I have to play the guitar and in The Reckless and the Brave Brandon could take over if it's necessary. He is a guitarist after all, and according to Niall it isn't a difficult song.
I take the right tabs in front of me and begin with the chorus. It usually has the most important chords, Mike told me.
I look at the chords. I know them, I think. I rub my head. The D was the one that was on the lower strings. A was a stripe. Bm... Bm... was it one of those fancy chords? A sigh escapes. I'll have to go and check it.
I took the paper from the bottom of the stack. It was a light blue so it stuck out of the others. Bm. A fancy chord indeed. Looking at the paper and my hand, I tried positioning it right.
This hurts.
My pointer finger has to lay over every single one of the strings. Niall warned me for these chords. They're difficult to maintain, especially when you just started playing. I play it once. A weak sound comes out. It sounds like an E chord, but it's played on a broken guitar by an old man.
I sigh.
This is going to take ages.
That day I'm only seen downstairs for dinner. I dedicated the day to playing guitar in my room, hopelessy playing and begging the gods it will sound good before the show.
At three AM I wake up to the sounds of screaming downstairs. Questioning it, I walk out of the room. At the stairway I see Alex, Mike and Emely.
"I'm going downstairs." Emely looks at us.
"Don't just do that! You don't kn-" Emely flips Alex off as she takes the first step.
"Be careful." I wisper to her.
She nods and goes down. None of us know what will happen. We hope it's going to be okay.
