Rainbow bondage bear and sugar baby bear
First up: the origin. The biggest bear was thrown on stage by a fan during the Where We Are tour in 2014. Someone from the crew took it because it started showing up in places where the boys were on tour.
Then: the social media. At first the bear had a twitter, where we got to know him as rainbow bondage bear. When this was created, he also first showed up with his bondage gear. This is the black tape you can see in various pictures. This account was also promoted at shows, but it got blocked pretty quickly. When the second bear showed up, we got the new account: rbbsbbofficial on twitter. This account eventually got deleted too.
Also important: who was behind all this. At first fans thought it was someone of the crew, but when the bears reappeared during the On The Road Again tour, this time in more expensive outfits, it seemed almost impossible. What normal person would invest this much money in Rainbow teddy bears?
Fans thought drummer Josh Devine was behind it, because in the bears' early days, he took a few pictures with them. He denied this himself though. This got friends to turn to Harry and Louis. There were a lot of reasons as of why they did this, I listed a few of them below.
1. In one picture the rbb and sbb posted, you can see the reflection of what seems to be Louis in the sunglasses rbb is pretty much always wearing. The person you see is also wearing a shirt that we've seen Louis wear before. And after we found this out, in every picture the sunglasses and other reflective surfaces are blurred.
2. Further on reflections: someone else you can see in the reflection in pictures is Lottie, Louis' sister.
3. Green and blue are the colours of Louis' and Harry's microphones, and the colours fans associate with Harry and Louis. Rbb also has a green smiley face and a blue smiley face on the bottom of his shoes. Rrb also wears a crown, with the green and blue gems facing forward.
4. The bears made mutiple references to lgbtq+ icons, and as you may have figured out by now, fans think Harry and Louis are lgbtq+ and in a relationship with each other.
5. The bears seem to often have something referring to what happened to Harry and Louis featuring in their costumes.
6. Louis has been seen in places where the rbb and sbb account has posted pictures in, minutes after they were posted.

She has two highlights on rbb and sbb in which every single thing is explained and why people think it has something to do with the relationship Louis and Harry might or might not have. It's pretty much the only place where I feel like everything is clearly explained and where you can take your time reading everything, looking at the pictures and figuring out what the bears are.
For the story the things I mentioned are the most important though, because these clues are the most obvious.
