Lei's POV
Oh. My. God.
There is only 4 hours until my best friend is getting married.
I think the room is spinning, and if I feel like this and it's not even my wedding, how does Izzy feel? Today is the first day of the rest of her life. I need to check on her.
I smooth down my baby blue bridesmaid dress and put my curled hair in front of my shoulders. I swipe on my lip gloss, fluff my hair, smile at the mirror and decide that I look good. I step into my silver heels and grab my hand bag. I walk out of my room, shutting the door behind me and setting off for the ballroom.
...
People bustle in and out of the room, nearly knocking me over. Once I get inside the ballroom I look around at the wooden dance floor with tables surrounding it and a stage behind it. People are working to decorate the tables with centerpieces. They're decorating the stage with baby blue material and white flowers. I look around some more and I see a door that says "Bridesmaids" I walk in. I find white comfy couches and in the corner Alexa and Riley sit talking in hushed whispers.
"Hey guys." I greet them and sit down on the couch next to them.
"We think Izzy has gone insane." Alexa says without a hint of humor and wide eyes. Riley nods her head vigorously next to her.
"Why would you think that?" I chuckle lightly. When they don't laugh with me I realize they're serious about this.
"Just wait." Riley says cryptically, keeping her eyes on the door. I watch the door too, waiting for something to happen.
I hear something faint, someone is coming and they're screaming really loud. I turn towards Alexa and raise my eyebrows as the sound gets louder.
"NO THAT'S NOT THE RIGHT COLOR!" Izabella screeches, "THOSE ARE CREAM. I. ORDERED. WHITE."
Lord help us all
I look at Alexa and raise my eyebrows even higher than before. She nods and Riley makes a crazy sign. I hear hurried footsteps and Izabella practically runs through the door. We all stand simultaneously and Izzy slumps down on the couch across from us.
"Are you okay, Izzy?" Riley asks, taking a slow step towards Izzy like she's a ticking bomb and she doesn't want to set her off.
"AmIdoingtherightthing?" Izzy sighs, laying all the way down on the couch.
"Can you say that a little slower?" Alexa asks and sits down on the couch next to her.
"Am I doing the wrong thing?" Izzy sits up and her lips start to tremble.
I sit down on the other side of Izzy and hug her. Riley and Alexa join in too. I hold Izzy at arms length.
"Do you love him and can't imagine your life without him?" I ask.
Izzy nods her head yes. "Then I think you're doing the right thing."
"You're doing everything right, Izzy. Now let's finish getting you ready." Riley assures her.
"There might be a slight problem." Izzy says quietly staring at the floor and playing with the ties of her white robe.
"What is it?"
"I may have fired my makeup and hair people..."
Alexa grabs Izzy's hand and leads her to the elevator.
"What are we doing?" Izzy asks, alarmed that we have left the ballroom.
"We are saving you. Meet you guys in my room?" Alexa asks and we nod back, heading to our rooms to grab our makeup and hair supplies.
