KELSIE'S POV
Ty got me some wine and I drank straight from the bottle. We were at Hotel Sankara already and I was ready to party the night away.
"The party hasn't even begun," Ty said holding me back from chugging the whole thing down.
"It has been so long Ty," I said, "Can you even remember the last time I let loose?"
"Yes. And that got Miss Kristie in trouble."
"Miss Kristie this... Miss Kristie that... Maybe you should be her personal assistant!"
"Calm down Miss Kelsie," Ty said, gripping my arm.
"Let go of me!!" I pulled away forcefully, dropping the wine bottle and it broke. This was all Ty's fault!
"Go get me another drink. I will be inside the hotel." The cleaners reached there immediately as Ty went to fetch more wine.
"Hurry! The main guests are almost here!!" One of the cleaners said.
Main guests?
"Excuse me?" I asked the cleaner. I didn't even bother looking at his name tag, "I am the main guest, don't you know that?"
"I... I'm sorry. I don't know who you are."
"Clean that up. It's what you can do best." I then walked away to the hotel.
Hotel Sankara was really posh with exquisite food that gives your tongue that spark the moment you taste it. The chandeliers there must have inspired SIA to compose her song Chandelier because they were magnificent and so huge. If one fell on you, you'd probably have your guts spilled everywhere and automatically die. But tonight, people will only die from joy and sheer madness because it's getting lit by the minute!!
I was seated in one of the cosy couches when Ty arrived with my wine. He opened it for me and I took a sip from it.
"You want some?" I asked Ty when I noticed his gaze.
"No thanks. I'll just have an energy drink instead."
"More for me," I said taking another sip.
Kent, my mom, Kristie and a bunch of other people from The Starks Alley entering the hotel. Kristie had stolen my position. It should have been me there, I should have read those speeches, I should have pulled that rope and I should be the only one in that peach dress!!
"I see you're already getting started!" Kristie said looking at my wine bottle.
"You should join me."
"I'm in the mood for soft drinks only tonight," Kristie said sitting next to me, "Thank you for cheering me on up there. I was really nervous but seeing you clapping and smiling at me was encouraging. You're the best best friend." She then hugged me.
"I couldn't resist. Especially because we look like twins tonight!" I hugged her back, with guilt rushing through me, "I'm sorry."
"There's no need for that tonight. Let's just forget everything and have fun!" She yelled as she got up from her seat and pulled me out of mine to dance. She jumped cheerfully and she seemed so full of life. Nothing could ruin that for her tonight, and I most definitely wouldn't.
"Hey I'll be right back. There's someone I need to talk to." She then left me still dancing with my half empty bottle of wine.
