KELLY'S POV
There was nothing on the news about Kristie except the number of days that she had been missing. It had been exactly five weeks after her disappearance when we were last at her apartment.
We were at one of our meetings at The Starks Alley and we could finally get down to some business because the police had restricted movement there when it was mentioned as one of the crime scenes besides Kristie's apartment and Hotel Sankara.
"In exactly two days..."Kent began suddenly, "Kristie will be pronounced dead by the court of law."
"Doesn't that take about ten years?" Jerry asked.
"It does. But with the blood at the scene, they have reached this conclusion." Everybody in the room gasped. It was quite unfortunate that it was going to happen that way. I never even got to tell her the real reason why I insisted on fake dating her.
I noticed Izzy was in the room which was weird because we all thought he had left The Starks Alley for good.
Just then, there was a loud bang at the door and a man who looked like he was in his late forties stormed in. He seemed frustrated and full of anger.
"Where did you take my Kristie!!" He yelled at us, pushing a computer off the desk that was near him and crashing it on the ground.
Everybody stood from their seat, not knowing what to expect after that.
"I asked you all a question!"
"Sir just calm down. Who are you?" Kent was as clueless as everyone.
"Kristie's dad," Kelsie answered quickly.
"You!" He said, pointing at Kelsie and going towards her. Kent and Jerry prevented him from getting to her, "You did this! If only you let her go back to Poland with me, none of this would have happened. She would still be alive!" By the look of things, Kristie's dad had a lot of strength that he almost overpowered Kent and Jerry.
"You need to calm down or I'll call security and they won't go easy on you!" Kent warned him and he stopped struggling after some time. He broke down in tears.
"Sir," Izzy said helping him up, "We don't know the whereabouts of Kristie either."
We also don't know your whereabouts, Fizzy Izzy
"You shouldn't be here Izzy. Go back to Poland where it's safe."
"I'm actually glad to see you," Kent said as he signaled the other people to leave the room, "The police needed a DNA test and that is now possible."
"The last time I did a DNA test I lost my family. I know I'll lose Kristie too."
"If you are willing to, I will gladly drive you to the police station. I have been following the case closely and they are familiar with me."
Kristie's dad accepted to go with my dad and they left in a hurry and Izzy closely followed them behind.
"Izzy!" Both Kelsie and I called him." It seems we needed the same answers.
"Where have you been all this time?" Kelsie asked without hesitation.
"I've been at home. Why?"
"We thought you were in Poland with Monic," Kelsie said.
"She went back alone."
"It's a little suspicious that you've been absent all this time," I stated.
"Well I was going to come back after the break. Then the news about Kristie threw me into depression and I wasn't ready to talk to anyone. Can't a man grieve?"
"We have been looking for her in each and every hospital and we could not find her. The police have also overturned Hotel Sankara but they didn't find her body." I said.
"So she just disappeared?"
"We don't know that yet."
Izzy seemed to be the most affected by this news. He even looked sick. I offered to taken him to the hospital where he was given antidepressant pills and a strict diet to follow.
"Listen man. I know you love her even though you're still with Monic."
"We broke up. I left Monic just to be with her."
"I know we'll find her and the two of you will reunite. Especially now that she found out that Dale was cheating on her on several accounts." This news brightened Izzy up a little and that cheered me up too.
