HYDRA had Bucky Barnes as their main solider before they tried to make an army they made another to test if they can. Y/N was her name and she and Bucky were close.
They may not of really knew who they once were, but they had each other and that was all that mattered. Their friendship was almost like siblings they were there for each other.
If HYDRA tried to harm Y/N, Bucky would lose it and almost kill them. They knew just how much she was to him. Knowing this after Barnes was saved by his old war buddy HYDRA knew what to do.
They would use Y/N as bate to bring the winter solider back. The only problem is Bucky couldnt make sense of the woman he kept seeing.
"I see her everywhere Steve. Its like she is all I can think about." Bucky says.
"Who is she Buck? A girlfriend? A random woman you've met?" Steve asks.
"No. She's like a sister. I think. Thats how I feel every time she appears in the nightmares. Its like for a moment I am safe with some I see as family." Bucky says.
"Did HYDRA know this?" Nick asks.
"I dont know." Bucky says.
Bucky was tearing up. He didnt know her name, but he knew her face. As hard as he could he tried to remember her. As he got his memories back slowly only the bad stuff staid and she was starting to fade.
"Buck, is this her?" Steve asks showing his friend a picture.
"Yes. Thats her." Bucky says.
The whole team was just looking at him not wanting to tell him, but Steve knew he had to.
"Buck, she is a weapon. Whatever is left of HYDRA they have her and she is harming innocent people." Steve says.
"No. She wouldnt. She is to kind. She is like me Steve. She is being forced. We have to save her." Bucky says.
"Thats what we are worried about. We think HYDRA is using her to get you to come back. Its not safe." Nat says.
"If we dont help her they'll kill her." Bucky says.
"We wont let that happen, but we cant bring you along. Im sorry Buck. You are going to have to trust us." Steve says.
"I dont know you all well enough to do that." Bucky says.
"You know me Buck. Can you trust me to bring her back safely?" Steve asks.
"You know I trust you Steve, but I want to help." Bucky says.
"The best way to help her is to stay here and have your memories come back." Nick says.
The rest of the team left to find Y/N and help her. Bucky hated he had to stay behind he wanted to help the woman he knew, but didnt know.
It was a days later that the team had came back. Bucky still wish he knew her name.
"Hey Buck we have someone for you." Steve says.
Moving out of the way Bucky saw Y/N and he had tears in his eyes and so did she.
"Y/N." Bucky says.
He ran over to her and hugged her tightly knowing he was never going to forget her ever again.
