Faking It
Y/N had one problem in her life right now. Her best friend was getting married. Now that wasnt a bad thing the bad thing was her best friend's brother is her ex.
So she couldnt just say no to the wedding, but she needed a date. She knew if she didnt her ex would say she was still hung up on him.
"Listen I would love too, but I have mission." Steve says.
"But Steve.. I need you." Y/N says.
She was now begging her best friend and he was saying no.
"I cant, but you know who can... Bucky." Steve says.
Steve knew about her crush on Bucky and he also knew that Bucky liked her too. There was no mission it was a set up.
"He wouldnt.. Bucky wont..." Y/N says.
"Bucky wouldnt what?" Bucky asks walking up.
"I'll leave you two to it." Steve says walking off.
Bucky stood there looking at the woman in front of him.
"What do you need?" Bucky asks.
"I asked Steve and he says he has a mission, but I'll just ask Barton or Wilson." Y/N says.
"Wait ask me. I'll help you no matter what it is." Bucky says.
"Okay. I need you to fake date me." Y/N says.
"Oh." Bucky says.
"See this isnt something you would want to do." Y/N says.
She walked away from him, but he caught up to her very quickly.
"I'll do it." Bucky says.
"What? Really?" Y/N asks.
Bucky nodded and later that week they went to the wedding. Bucky didnt know the reason why she wanted a fake date, but it was all clear to him after the first dance.
The bride and groom danced and then others could join and Y/N quickly grabbed Bucky's arm and pulled him up.
"Y/N why did you need me?" Bucky asks.
"See that guy over there. Watching us?" Y/N asks.
"Yeah what about him?" Bucky asks.
"Thats my ex. I needed a fake date because I needed him to know I moved on." Y/N says.
"I think I have a way to give him the message." Bucky says.
Y/N didnt know what he meant, but then Bucky kissed her. He pulled away and her ex was no longer looking at them.
"Good plan." Y/N says.
"Its wasnt a plan to make him stop looking at you. It was a plan to be with you. I like you." Bucky says.
"I like you too." Y/N says and kisses him once again.
