"this is what i gave et when i first met him." he said.

i stepped on a twig which made him turn to me. "ada!" he said.

he ran and gave me a hug. "hey, el! how ya been?" i asked.

"good. i was just telling gertie some things about et." he said, kinda sad.

"hey, its ok! he misses you too and i know if he could come back without being seen, he would." i reassure him.

"ada!" gertie says.

i hug her and pick her up. "hey, gertie! havent seen you in a few days! how are you?" i asked.

"good. my brothers still stink though." she whispers the last part.

i tickle her and she giggles. i set her down. "im gonna head back in and check on those crazy boys." i say.

i walk inside and tiptoe down the hall. i peek my head through the door and i see the boys, staring at a playboy magazine!
