Sophie turned white. She didn't realize that the sleepover was tonight! She was so frantic because she hasn't even gotten her scroll yet! When she remembered that it was coming at three, she did a little happy dance in her brain. She replied with a simple,

"Oh. I completely forgot."

"Glad I reminded you!" Biana replied, giddy.

"Well anyway, what kind of girl stuff did you want to talk about?" Sophie asked.

"Oh, umm, you know, boys, and, umm...... and more things?" Biana replied weakly.

"So what kind of 'stuff' should we start with?" Sophie challenged.

"Uhhhh......" Biana stalled.

"Let's talk about the past. You know, when the neverseen were an actual threat." Sophie suggested.

"The neverseen? I forgot about them two years after they were imprisoned in Exile." Biana remembered.

"Basically all of their members were imprisoned, their minds are broken, their powers are broken, or they're dead. But, like Vespera is hard to classify. She's not broken of any sort but she was caught though she escaped. Of course she isn't killing anymore people now." Sophie reminisced.

"Ruy is broken and in Exile. Umber is dead. Alvar and Lady Gisela are almost dead. Fintan is imprisoned and so is most everyone else. All the people that are in Exile are psycho maniacs because their minds are broken. I think that's it." Biana listed.

"Why do we still need our body guards even when the neverseen are gathering dust in Exile?" Sophie wondered.

"Because you can still get in cataclysmic trouble and badly injure yourself!" Sandor defended," and since you are my charge, I will do anything and every—"

"Yea, yea, yea, I get it. I don't need to hear the speech version again." Sophie cut him off. Biana giggled. Sandor didn't say another word as Sophie and Biana kept talking.
"Do you actually know who your dad is?" Biana said, changing the subject.
"Yea. Grady. You should know that." Sophie said.
"No. I meant your biological father. Do you?" Biana clarified.
"No. And I don't want to find out. After finding out that Councillor Oralie is my actual mom, I don't want to find out who my dad is. Especially if it's someone I'm friends with." Sophie decided. Oralie supported her almost as much as Councillor Kenric had. Kenric had died in a tragic accident at Oblivimyre when Fintan had melted the entire jeweled building with his everblaze to stop Sophie from finding information in his hidden memories. Eternalia was destroyed from the rampaging fire but they rebuilt the city more sparkling and stunning then before. But now Sophie didn't want to talk on this subject anymore. It was bringing back too many bad memories for Sophie to handle.
"Yea can we change the subject? I don't think I can handle this without inflicting on you." Sophie basically begged.
"Trust me, I'm having as many bad memories as you. We should definitely change the subject." Biana agreed.
"So........ what should we talk about?" Sophie asked.
"I don't know." Biana said.
"Does Alden know you're gone?" Sophie questioned her.
"Oh crap. They'll be so mad. I got to go see ya Soph!" Biana said.
"Byeeee!" And then she left. There was an overwhelming silence that Sophie didn't like. She needed to talk to someone do she went downstairs to see what Edaline was doing. She plopped down the stairs and found Edaline cooking in the kitchen.
"Hi mom." Sophie said.
"Oh Sophie you scared me!" Edaline teased.
"So what are you doing?" Sophie asked.
"Well I'm cooking dinner and later I'll be cooking some other snacks for your sleepover," Edaline explained," because we don't want the things that happened this week become an ongoing thing."
"Oh yea I forgot about my hair! How much of it is back to blonde?" Sophie asked.
"About three-fourths of the way there. The green is almost gone!" Edaline cheered.
"It's almost gone. Not there yet." Keefe called.
"Since when did you get here?" Sophie questioned.
"Since I got bored and wanted to hang with one of my friends." Keefe answered.
"You both can go to Calla's tree if you want." Edaline suggested.
"Come on, let's go!" Sophie called and ran toward the hill that Calla's tree was on. When she got there she could hear the soft singing resonating off of the tree, representing songs she sang and the soft petals of the flowers that were growing on the tree were falling all around her.
"Since when did you get so fast?" Keefe asked in between panting.
"I don't know." She answered. Then he sat down against the trunk and looked up for a few minutes.
"So..... what should we talk about?" Keefe asked.
"You see I was having this same exact problem with Biana." Sophie said.
"Wait, Biana was here before me?" He questioned. Then he looked down to where he was sitting and glared.
"No. We were in my room talking about......... random past stuff." Sophie answered. Keefe relaxed that Biana hadn't sat where he was in a sarcastic type of motion and sighed of relief to lighten the mood. Then Sophie laughed and laid her head against the hard wood of the tree trunk.
"Random past stuff...........?" Keefe started.
"Who do you think will be on your match lists?" Sophie blurted.
"I don't know. Honestly I don't really know anyone else other than you guys, except for a few select people." Keefe explained. Sophie had nothing to reply to that.
"Sophie! Your match list came! Come!" Edaline shouted from the pastures.
"Coming, mom!" Sophie yelled back. Then she looked at Keefe and said her goodbyes.
"See ya tonight, Soph!" Keefe yelled after her. Then he winked and she could feel her face turning red. She made it to the pastures and through the back door of Everglen to see her parents just about to open her match lists before she did.
"What are you doing?" Sophie asked curiously. They jumped and Grady hid the list behind his back and they plastered a smile on their faces immediately.
"Oh nothing, honey!" Edaline squeaked. Sophie held out her hand and raised her eyebrows, signifying that she caught them and they sighed in defeat. Grady dropped the scroll on Sophie's hand and she rushed up the stairs to her room where she attempted to hide the scroll. But she was too nervous about the names so she couldn't help but open and read the first few names so she wouldn't be too shocked at the sleepover tonight. The first two names were of boys she had never heard of or seen. But the third one was all too familiar.
