"That was good........so good....." Keefe said after he drained his warm bowl of soup.
"I'm pretty sure everyone knows that Edaline's cooking is the best of all moms'." Biana clarified. They all slowly made their way into the living room, chatter unsettling the silence that had once been there. Sophie was chatting with Biana, and the boys chatted with each other. They chatted for a long time, forgetting what the 'main event' was. Opening the match lists. That's why they were hidden close to a chair that edaline had moved in the far left corner of the room. Suddenly, yelling started to come from one of the boys. Then another started. And then the last one did, too. The girls started to cover their ears, but that wasn't enough. So they decided to go to Sophie's room to chat instead. The boys were so loud that they could almost hear them at full volume from upstairs. Then the girls died from laughter. They could hear snippets of what they were yelling about. But then Edaline entered, and they all fell quiet. They fell over and laughed even harder.
"Why are you yelling when you can talk and not explode everyone's eardrums," Edaline spoke firmly,"and where are the girls?" Then Sophie decided to say,
"We're up here, mom!" Then they could hear her walking up the stairs and whispered,
"It was the boys, wasn't it?" She asked with a smirk.
"Yea," Sophie said," but how are they not deaf?" Then the girls all started to laugh.
"What's so funny up there?" Fitz called. The girls started to go down the stairs and in the hallway. Once they made it to the living room, and saw the boys' hair, they couldn't help but laugh.
"What's so funny about us?" Dex started. The boys' hair was everywhere. It was static and it was not neat as it usually was.
"Go look in the mirror." Biana barely managed to be heard. Then all the boys rushed into the nearest bathroom and Keefe started screaming,
"MY HAIR! THE STYLE IS GONE! THIS WILL BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY. HOW'D THIS TERRIBLE EVENT HAPPEN ANYWAY! SUCH A TRAGEDY!" And then he started to actually scream, which made the girls laugh sooooooooo hard. They fell on the ground and couldn't breathe for the longest time. Especially when Edaline came from out of the kitchen and asked,
"Is he ok? Or is this just him?" They laughed to the point where their entire face turned strawberry red and eyes full of tears from the humiliation of the boys. They didn't come out of that bathroom until their hair was meticulously styled and perfect.
"Why do you guys embarrass yourselves so much?" Sophie said, out of breath. The boys answered with a scowl. The one who scowled with pure hate, however, was Keefe. He looked like he wanted revenge. But that just made them laugh even harder. But Dex, remembering what Keefe screamed, cracked a dimpled smile. Then Fitz did the same. They covered their mouths and then they both started to giggle along with the girls. Being Keefe, he couldn't help but laugh at his own ridiculous comment. Then everyone started to laugh.
"I will be getting revenge though." Keefe clarified.
"It's gonna be on one of the boys, or both, because we were upstairs avoiding your ear-bleeding incident." Biana said.
"Na. At least one of the girls and at least one of the boys will be pranked. And I already know who. Hehehe." Then they all walked into the living room, chatting with each other for a while, and the least bit scared Keefe would do something to them.
"Sophie, can we go somewhere......... private?" Biana asked.
"Sure..." and she led Biana into her room.
"So, what is it that you needed?" Sophie asked.
"I kinda peeked at my scroll......" Biana admitted
"So did I but anyway, who was there?" Sophie pushed.
"Dex.." She barely whispered. Her cheeks turned bright pink.
"Ok..... what is it you needed help with?" Sophie repeated.
"I just needed to tell someone." Biana said.
"Ok." Sophie answered.
"Who was on yours?" Biana pushed.
"Keefe." Sophie whispered in her ear.
"Ooooooooooooooh!! YESSSSSSSSSS!! FATE HAS COME!!!!!!" Biana triumphantly squealed.
"What exactly do you mean by........ that." Sophie asked.
"Everyone knew you and Keefe are perfect together. Well, except for you, I guess." Biana explained.
"I thought Keefe only liked me for a little bit and then moved on. He still does?!?!?!?!?" Sophie exclaimed.
"Yup. Always has been always will be. I can't believe you are that oblivious. Really though." Biana said. Then Sophie turned bright pink.
"Wait, aren't you and my brother.... you know, together?" Biana realized.
"Well, you see,—" Sophie began. Then she turned even more red at those few words.
"How come he didn't tell me!" Biana argued.
"We kinda wanted it to be a secret, so please please please don't tell anyone. Especially Fitz."
"Why did you break up?" Biana asked.
"We didn't really feel a connection. Like when you meet you soulmate, you feel a pull. Well, we kinda don't. We made an agreement that we would be friends only. He seemed kinda mad about it, but I bet he's over it. I am." Sophie explained quietly.
"So..... should we go back down?" Biana asked.
"I need you to swear that you will tell no one until Fitz and I are ready to." Sophie said.
"I swear I will not tell a single soul about this secret until you two are ready." Biana swore.
"Good. Now we can go downstairs." Sophie finalized. They walked down the stairs and the hallway. As soon as they stepped in to the living room the boys asked,
"What were you doing?"
"Talking about girl stuff." Sophie replied.
"What kind of girl stuff?" Keefe asked.
"The girl stuff you shouldn't know about." Sophie stalled.
"Why shouldn't we know about it?" Keefe asked.
"Because you shouldn't." Sophie replied.
"Why?"
"Because."
"Why?"
"Because." And that went on and on and on and on and on for many hours until Sophie was the last one standing.
"You play a hard game, Soph." Keefe admitted with a strained sounding voice.
"Thank you." Sophie said with an evil grin. Then they walked back into the living room and talked for a little while until Biana asked,
"Wasn't there something that we specifically wanted to do?"
"Yea, I forgot what it was though." Dex said.
"What was it........" Biana thought.
"Wait, I think I remember!" Dex said.
"What was it?!?!" Everyone yelled.
"Didn't we have to open our match scrolls?"
