Keefe sighed after Sophie ended their call. He continued to draw his base sketch of-you guessed it- Sophie. He wanted to make it a surprise for her since her birthday was soon enough and to give her more things to remind her of the Keefester. Since she was on his mind most of the time, and it kinda hurt a little, he wanted Sophie to think a little about him, too when she looked at the painting. He would actually know if Sophie was thinking about him, and if she did think of him in the way he thought of her, he would be so blissful and thankful. Thinking those wonderful thoughts, he scribbled and erased, redrew and removed, pencil lines making smooth curves along the paper. He looked and added and perfected and polished until his sketch was perfect. He moved on to drawing out his picture of Sophie onto his canvas and made the sketch perfect, just the way he thought of Sophie to be. He finally finished the pencil work and moved on to the painting part. His mind was so deeply in his thoughts for Sophie, he was so in love. He wanted her to return that love he had for her, but every minute she was with Fitz, and was acting all lovey-dovey with him within his sights, his heart ripped and shredded in to many so many pieces that he couldn't count them all. He shattered inside, but kept his outer shell calm and happy, like every other day. He was so in depth in thinking that time flew. He had no idea what time it was but the sky was a dark red-violet-y color, and the stars were almost visible. He could tell it was almost time for dinner, and just then he heard a knock at his door.
"Dinner is ready, come down if you want it." Lord Cassius said bitterly. Then Keefe heard his father walk back down to where he came from. He noticed that he was starting to get hungry, so he got up from his chair to go and get a portion of food to eat. His last thought before eating was if Sophie would have a night off soon.........(>:3)

Sophie's pov-ish thing
After being stuffed full of Edaline's finest cooking, she was feeling prime. After all of the troubles she had with sleep those years ago, she felt as if she were lying to herself. She could faint right now and have the best sleep ever, even if she would end up with a purple throbbing bump on her forehead the next morning. She went up to her room to get tucked in and cozy so she could dream the night away. Once she changed into her sleeping clothes and got comfy in bed, black rimmed her sight as she fell into a dream. She awoke the next morning to a little surprise laying on her desk. It was a small box wrapped in red wrapping paper with lace designs on it. It was tied in a gold ribbon, with a neat little bow at the top. She didn't realize it was the day before her birthday and that her parents had gotten her a small gift she was allowed to open now. She delicately untied the neat bow, and opened up the red paper to reveal a navy blue box underneath. She cautiously opened up the box, and saw a gorgeous pair of grey-blue earrings. They were studs and in the shape of tear drops. They looked like an actual tear, except for the silver that borders it with intricate little swirls and lines. There was a small card underneath the earrings, and it read:
Dear Sophie,
Happy early birthday! We wanted to get you a little something so you could have a bit of your birthday before it actually starts. We love you, kiddo.
Mom and dad
'Aww, that was so sweet.' Sophie thought. She took the studs and placed them through her ear piercing, then walked over to her mirror and gasped. The earrings looked stunning on her. Even though they were blue, they looked as if they had brown streaks in them. The light bounced and played with the angles that they could reflect on. She had to show her parents. She ran downstairs in a clatter and a thump, almost tripping more than a few times.
"Look!" She exclaimed.
"Oh sweetie, you look so good," Edaline cheered. "I knew we made the right choice!" Then she glared at Grady in triumph. Grady just rolled his eyes and said,
"Well anyways," Grady glanced at Edaline with an annoyed expression,"you look amazing in those, kiddo." With Sophie satisfied with her responses, she went upstairs to get dressed. When she came back down Grady asked where she was going.
"To Keefe's."
"Why are you going to That- Keefe's house." Grady asked. He still hasn't gotten over not saying That Boy instead of Keefe. He only joined the neverseen to get the caches back! And, that was like, 5 years ago! Some people just don't understand.
"Because I wanna." She answered. Then she headed off towards Keefe's house. She knocked on the door, and then heard trips and thumps and crashes. One the crashing stopped, the door opened, with Keefe peeking out of it.
"Hey Soph," Keefe said, then gave his signature smirk, "looks like you actually came."
"Why would I not? It would be rude to say your going somewhere and not actually show up." Sophie said, though Keefe could feel her reason for showing up was much different. He gestured for her to come in, and they ran upstairs to his room. Suddenly, Keefe stopped Sophie at the door to his bedroom and said,
"Can you stay out here for a few minutes? I gotta do something real quick." He asked.
"Sure." Sophie replied. Then Keefe turned into his room and disappeared through the door. He left his door just a crack open, just enough so Sophie could see what he was doing. He was taking a big canvas and shoving it under his bed. But the image he sketched out onto the canvas looked familiar. Almost too familiar. But she had no idea who it could be. She quickly pulled her head away from the door a few seconds before Keefe turned the knob and opened the door.
"Come on in,"Keefe said nervously, "We're gonna have to do something while your here."
