I was able to settle in over the weekend, before I had to start school up the following Monday. Over the weekend, Archie and I would stay up and talk about stuff that had happened, he caught me up with the latest murder that had happened, being Ms. Grundy, the old music teacher that I heard Uncle Fred and father talking about over the phone months ago. The killer's name is the Black Hood, he was also the guy who shot my uncle. Archie had taken it upon himself to guard the house, at night I would walk down stairs to see him half asleep sitting on the chair with a bat.
"Roxanne! Come on! You're going to be late on your first day!" I heard my uncle's voice call from down stairs. I looked at myself in my body length mirror one more time.

My hair was pulled back into space buns, my gold watch I got from my father sat on my wrist, my makeup was simple with light foundation, winged eyeliner, mascara I filled in my eyebrows, with a nude lipstick. I grabbed my jean jacket, that was my fathers, and my back pack from my desk chair, and headed down the steps to the kitchen and saw the kitchen a smoking mess.
"Holy crap Arch, what the hell happened? Did you try to burn the house down?" I asked, laughing as I stopped at the end of the island.
"Oh, haha. Very funny, Rox." Archie mocked back. I cracked a smile before grabbing an apple. Archie's phone started ringing. Archie walked off, answering his phone.
"Are you going to eat more than just that?" Uncle Fred asked, I looked at the food Archie cooked.
"Uh, no." I answered with a small smile. Fred followed suit looking too, slowly nodding his head. I looked at the watch after a few minutes. I went to the stairs. "Archie! We gotta go dude!" I yelled.
"Coming!" He yelled back, he was soon racing down the steps with Vegas following behind him.
"Bye Uncle Fred/Dad!" We both yelled exiting the house, and beginning our walk to school.
We got to the school, I looked around, as people crowd around lockers. I could feel everyone's eyes on me as we walked through the hall.
"Archie, everyone is staring at me..." I muttered quietly.
"Yeah, tends to happen." He muttered back, dragging me to the main office to get my schedule and everything. Once I got my stuff, Archie led me to my locker, where we quickly put all my stuff and grabbed out my books for my first period. "Come on, I want you to meet some people." He said, his hand rested on my upper back guiding me through the halls, we made it a lounge type place. I looked around, taking in all the people, my eyes landed on a blonde, her back was turned to me, her hair was curly and pulled back into a bun.
"Elizabeth Cooper, is that you?" I asked, grabbing her and the group's attention.
"Anne!" She exclaimed, jumping up from her seat and running to hug me. "Anne, it's been so long. How have you been?"
