"I'm hungry." Symere whined and held his stomach and Jordan nodded his head. They hadn't eaten in days simply because Tyler had told them to lay low. They were still on MIS' radars and it was best to stay out of sight. "Just let me go hunting, I could bring something back for the both of us to eat." Symere spoke again and Jordan only looked at him. Symere was getting pretty annoyed with the whole 'not talking' thing but Jordan couldn't help it. "He'll talk." Was all Jordan said and Symere rolled his eyes. The fact that the two were relying on some fucking agent that could possibly be selling them out right now was stupid. "Why do you trust this guy so much huh? You've already seen how quick your other team mates were to turn on you." Symere said and Jordan stopped walking. He turned and faced Symere with a deadly look.
"You don't get to speak on him. Those other fucks have always wanted me dead and were just looking for a reason to kill me." He said angrily and Symere just gave him a surprised look. He didn't expect Jordan to get so angry over this Tyler dude. Jordan looked around him, this should be the spot Tyler told him about. Now all they have to do it wait. Symere crossed his arms and leaned against a wall. He was starting to get impatient, had he not saved his life Symere was almost tempted to just leave the human. But right when he was about to head off a door bursted open and out came a bucket hat wearing teen with bags of food. Tyler glanced over at Symere and was interested in him immediately. He quickly dropped the bags of food into Jordan's hands and walked over to Symere. He stuck his hand out for Symere to shake who only just stared at him with a confused look. "He's autistic." Jordan said as he put the food into his back pack. Tyler let out a huff and put his hand away.
"You know I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell everyone I met that. It makes them think I'm stupid or something." Tyler whined and Symere cracked a smile at the twos banter. He could see why he trust Tyler so much. They had an unbreakable bond. "So what's the plan now? I can't keep helping ya'll out like this, I might slip up sooner or later you know this." Tyler said and Jordan nodded his head in understanding. "We'll find some place to stay, outside of Harlem." Jordan said and Symere furrowed his brows. "I'm sorry we? I get that you saved my life and all but come on now. I can't leave Harlem, I still have people here that could be alive." Symere explained and Tyler winced at the mention of people being alive. "I hate to break it to you but pretty much everyone at that camp died. Besides you of course. But I suggest going along with Jordan's plan if you want to live. Oh! That reminds me." Tyler rambled on and went back inside. He came back out holding Jordan's M4 and a small box that could easily fit in one of his pockets. "What's this?" He asked as he strapped the M4 onto his back.
The sight of the guns made Symere anxious but he knew Jordan wouldn't use them to hurt him. Tyler grinned as he placed the small box in Jordan's hand and pointed to the small red button on it. "Press it." He said and Jordan pressed the button. It quickly made a whirring noise as it pretty much unboxed itself into a big ass sniper. Jordan looked at it in his hands as Tyler waited for him to thank him, Symere could tell by the excited look on his face. "Why." Jordan stated and the looked was wiped right off of his face. "See I hate that you never get excited over the coolest fucking shit. Nigga this a proto-type sniper they working on that I busted my ass to get for you!" Tyler ranted and Jordan pressed a button and closed the sniper back into its box. He slid it in his pocket and put his hands on Tyler's shoulders. "Thank you." Was all Jordan said and that seemed to satisfy Tyler enough.
"Okay, well I guess this is goodbye? I'm gonna miss you, fuckin' goober." Tyler said as he playfully punched Jordan's shoulder. Jordan cracked a small smile before Tyler gave him a worried look. "Please stay safe." He said lowly and Jordan nodded his head. The two stood there awkwardly as Symere just watched them. They looked like they wanted to hug? But for some reason they didn't know how to initiate it. "Alright I gue-" Tyler started talking but Jordan cut him off by hugging him. He held on tight to his dear friend and Tyler could feel his heart sink in his chest. He was scared for his friend, he didn't know what could possibly happen to him. Tyler hugged back and held on tight. "Please don't die." Tyler said with a soft voice and Jordan let out a chuckle. He let go of Tyler and put his back pack on. "I won't die." He responded and tossed Symere a back pack as well. "Well farewell!" Tyler called to them as they started walking away from Tyler.
"Where to now?" Symere asked and Jordan shrugged.
"North."
1 WEEK LATER
"Target locked." Jordan whispered as he hung upside down from a building; dreads dangling in his face. Half his body was hanging out the damn bathroom window with Symere holding on to his legs for dear life. "You know this is very dangerous!" Symere said with a strained voice and Jordan just kept his aim steady. He needed this upside down angle other wise he wasn't going to be able to kill his target. The target was an agent who had been on their tail for the past few days. Jordan took notice the first day and plotted on how he was going to get rid of him. This wasn't the ideal plan at first but there was no other choice. He knew how tracking went you were given at least four days to track someone and kill on the fifth. Most agents track in two days and kill on the third.
His reticle hovered over the mans head as he drank coffee from his hotel balcony and read the newspaper. Jordan and Symere had checked into a hotel room and made sure to get a room high up, so they wouldn't be noticed that easily. Jordan made sure to put a silencer on the sniper and to wear clothes that blend in with his surroundings. Symere was just worried he was going to drop the poor boy. "Can you just shoot him already?!" Symere nearly shouted and made Jordan lose focus. He sat up a bit and looked at Symere through the window. "You wanna do it?!" He snapped back and Symere had no response. Jordan let out a huff and relaxed his body back down. He aimed back down his sights. He took a deep breath and waited. He wanted the man to spot him just right before he died. He let out a loud whistle and the man snapped his head towards the boy hanging out the window. Before the agent could react Jordan pulled the trigger and watched his body drop and the balcony get sprayed with blood.
He quickly sat up and let Symere pull him in. Jordan felt light head as he scrambled to get out of the tub and gather his things. "Wait wait where are we going now?!" Symere said as he watched Jordan grab everything. "Far away from here." He muttered as he put his back pack on and waited for Symere to get his things. Symere chose not to question him and gathered his stuff as well. The two left the hotel with Jordan slamming both hotel room keys on the front desk and walking out of the hotel without answering any of the workers questions. Jordan was tired of moving so much already but they had made good progress away from Harlem's sector. He caught wind of other sectors around Harlem coming into town to help out. He also heard there was quite the reward for him and Symere's head. So he wasn't going to be surprised if more and more people started showing up.
They moved quickly and quietly through the busy city and kept their heads low. "I think we should come up with a plan or something." Symere said to him in a hushed voice and Jordan clenched his jaw as he thought about what they could do. A million missions racked his mind but only one really stood out from the rest. It was real dangerous and could possibly get both Jordan and Symere killed. Even Tyler could get killed, but if he managed to get to Tyler and tell him that could help. "We could take out Harlem's sector." Jordan suggested and Symere looked at him with a surprised look. "Nigga what? You want to just crash in and try and take the place?" He asked and Jordan shook his head. "We could take them out one by one. As they go on missions. Weaken them, and make their group smaller." Jordan said and Symere nodded his head as he listened. "Well I'm not the military dog with years of experience this is all on you." Symere said and Jordan rolled his eyes.
"Just follow my lead at all times."
"Say less."
