Jordan read an article talking about him from a newspaper. So far pretty much every one in the New York area knew about him going rouge. It was like the entire state was on a man hunt from him. He found it funny considering he had been staying in a hotel directly across from the said base he went rouge from. Symere laid on the bed and let out a groan. "This is starting to get boring, is there anything else we can do besides sit here?" He asked and Jordan looked up from the news paper. He shook his head before going back to reading. Symere sat up and cocked his head at the boy. Normally he was okay with things always being silent but for some reason it was starting to irk his nerves that the boy rarely wanted to talk; much less give a simple reply to him.

He got off the bed and walked over to Jordan before yanking the paper out of his hands and burning it up. Jordan sighed and rested his hand on his face before giving Symere a bored look. "We're waiting for someone. Remember the guy who gave us stuff?" He said and Symere nodded his head. "Yeah what about him." He asked and Jordan pointed towards the window giving them a view of the base. "He lives there, I haven't seen him leave that place since we got here. Something's gotta be up, I wanna make sure he's okay." Jordan explained and Symere let out a huff. "Why not just go to the base and ask them?" He asked and Jordan gave him a blank stare. "I think you forget I'm wanted for treason." He muttered and Symere made an 'oh' sound. He forgot about that to be honest. Being hunted was like an everyday thing for him anyways.

"So do you just expect him to walk out or something?" He asked and Jordan shrugged. "Something will happen." He said and just glanced out the window. As soon as he did that's when he noticed a familiar golf cap leaving the base. He scrambled out of his seat; put his shoes on and grabbed the hotel key. "Wait where are you going?!" Symere called out to him but Jordan just ignored him as he ran down the hall way to the stairs. The elevator would have taken to long and he didn't have a lot of stamina to begin with. He practically jumped down the flight of stairs before bursting out the side exit. He looked across the street and saw Tyler fiddling with something on his shirt and start walking. He picked back up on his run and crossed the street; a car nearly missing him. The car honked; gaining Tyler's attention who was met with a Jordan grabbing him and pulling him off to the side. Tyler tried his best not to scream at his friend suddenly appearing as Jordan let go of him and caught his breath.

"My nigga you're still here!?" He asked and Jordan nodded his head, he pointed to the hotel across the street and Tyler just face palmed. "You really just been sitting here right under every ones noses. What the fuck are you still doing here." Tyler asked and Jordan; who was still trying to catch his breath pointed at Tyler's chest. "Wanted to make sure you were okay." He said as he rested his hands on his knees. Tyler adjusted his hat and tilted his head. "Okay? Nigga I'm fine what the hell. Well actually I kind of got myself into some shit as well." He said sheepishly and Jordan gave him a look. "You promise not to freak out on me?" He asked and Jordan just nodded his head. Tyler motioned for him to follow him and the two walked back out onto the street. Jordan pulled his hoodie up to keep him from being easily seen and Tyler led him a few blocks down. He turned down an alleyway and Jordan had a confused look plastered on his face.

"Damn nigga you take your sweet time or what? Who the hell is this?" A man said as he leaned on the wall. Tyler rolled his eyes and had Jordan pull his hoodie down. Rakim came into view as well and gave Jordan a look up and down. "I hope this wasn't the important thing you had to get." Rakim mumbled and Tyler pulled out his inhaler and waved it around. "Nah it was this, but this is Jordan. The guy I told you about." Rakim's eyes widened as he looked back at Jordan who had a confused look on his face. Rakim stuck his hand out for Jordan to shake who accepted it. Tyler scoffed. "Oh so he gets a hand shake but I don't?" He whined and Rakim let go of Jordan's hand to give Tyler a smack on the back of the head. "Shut up nigga." He said as Tyler whined and rubbed the back of his head.

"Where's the guy you were with?" Tyler asked and Jordan nodded his head in the direction of the hotel. "Oh okay, well uh this is Rakim. He's  a mutant." Tyler said and Jordan gave Tyler a stern look. "Tyler what the fuck." Jordan said angrily and Tyler put his hands up to stop him. "You promised you wouldn't get mad. Anyways since I'm uh technically rouge lets team up." Tyler said with a grin and both Rakim and Jordan didn't like the idea of that. "Yeah no, you said you were going to help me get back to my friends and that's what you're gonna do." Rakim said and Jordan folded his arms and shook his head. "No he's going back to that base and leaving you. I don't even know why he's helping you in the first place. He has no experience." Jordan scolded Tyler and Rakim tilted his head. "What are you his dad my nigga? Last I checked he's a grown ass man who can make his own conscious decisions." Rakim snapped back and Jordan  just stared at him.

"He's going home." He said and Rakim grabbed Tyler's arm. "No he's not. He's helping me, he already said he would." He responded and in return Jordan grabbed Tyler's other arm. Tyler had a helpless look on his face as both of his arms were starting to get tugged back and forth. "Why should he even trust a mutant like you?" Jordan sneered and Rakim raised his eyebrows. "Sounding pretty racist coming from a guy who put his ass on the line for some fucking mutant." Rakim snapped back and Jordan was starting to get fed up. He reached for the keychain hanging around his neck and before he could pull it off Rakim started humming. Tyler noticed it was the siren's song and tried to stop him but it was too late. Jordan was under the spell and let go of Tyler. "Let's go while he's still under the spell." Rakim said as he looked at the boy in disgust. Jordan's eyes had turned gray and glossed over. He stood there like some sort of zombie.

Tyler yanked his arm from Rakim and went over to Jordan. "He comes with us or I go." He made his final stand and stood next to the lifeless Jordan with his arms crossed. Rakim rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath. "Fine. But he stays under the spell until we find my friends." He said and Tyler shook his head. "No, we go back to where his hotel was and get the other mutant. Then you take the spell off of him." Rakim was mad for even trying to bargain with the kid. "Oh my god let's go. Take us to the fucking hotel." He ordered Jordan who turned around and started walking. Tyler scrambled to catch up with him and put the boys hoodie on. He didn't want people to notice that it was him and that he was under a siren's spell. They walked back down the street until they found the hotel he was staying at.

Tyler glanced nervously at the base behind him as they walked into the lobby. They got into the elevator as Jordan mindlessly punched his floor number in. They stood in silence as the elevator stopped at the fourth floor letting the boys out. Jordan walked down the hallway before stopping in front of a door. He tried to get the card out of his jacket but he struggled and resulted in Rakim yanking the key out of his pocket and opening the door. Symere peaked his head from behind the bed to see the zombie like Jordan and the two strangers. "Jordan who are these people?" He said and Jordan didn't respond. Tyler looked at Rakim and Rakim rolled his eyes as he released the spell from Jordan. Almost instantly Jordan gained consciousness and stumbled.

"What the fuck?" He said as he whipped his head around and realized he was back in the hotel room. He turned to see Rakim and Tyler standing there. "I should really kill you, you know." Jordan said and Rakim snorted. "Okay dude. Now that you're all here. Can we get back to I don't know, finding my fucking friends?!"
