To the students' despair, the rest of the show was cut short by the sound of a bell, signaling it was time for them to go back to class.
Instead of going behind the gymnasium like they had planned in the first place, Jaemin ran out of the cafeteria to wash his face, get rid of the remaining food, and get changed into new clothes.
The other three plus Mark made their way to the meeting spot, but none of them uttered a word.
They all waited in silence for Jaemin to join them, tension filling the air.
When he saw the boy arrive, Jeno got up from the bench he was sitting on and eagerly walked in his direction.
"Nana, I- "
"Leave it," Jaemin spoke. "We did what we needed to do, there's no need to talk about it anymore," he said.
"Good," Mark spoke, desperately wanting to get this over with. "Now let's get to the real job."
They all nodded, almost immediately forgetting about the previous scene, focused on what they had to do. To convince students was one thing, but to convince an actual mafia member was another.
The five of them headed to the administration's building, where Taeil had told them Park would be. He had hacked into his schedule and given what he had found to Dream, so they could choose the place where their second fight would happen.
They chose an empty room near his office and waited until it was time for the new president to get to a meeting. Mark, who didn't have to take part in the plan, was staying in the hall, keeping an eye out for Park. When he saw the man opening the door, he discreetly ran to the room the others were waiting in, softly knocking on the door to let them know Park was coming.
At the signal, Renjun, Donghyuck and Jaemin started raising their voice at Jeno, trying to get Park's attention from the corridor. They had let the door slightly open, enough for him to hear the yells.
"I can't believe you lied to us all this time!" Donghyuck began.
Mark was hidden behind a wall, making sure their fake fight would draw Park's attention. It did, because the man slowly started to make his way to the door. He was about to push it open to scold the students who were fighting, but stopped his movements when he heard the next sentence.
"Seriously, Jeno, a gang?" Jaemin yelled this time. "Is Jeno even your real name?" he spat.
Park Min-Seok's hand stayed still on the door handle when he caught the name.
"You're not even denying it?" Renjun spoke. "So I guess it's true, then. You really are part of a gang, aren't you?"
"Why would I?" Jeno said. "You guys saw me, right?"
"That's it, I'm gonna call the police you dangerous freak!"
At the mention of the police, Park's blood turned cold. He couldn't let them do that, he needed Jeno for himself and Kang.
The door was slammed open, revealing the man.
"Can I know what's going on, here?" He spoke, putting on an angry mask to cover up the smirk that threatened to show. He'd done it, he had found Lee Jeno, the first member of Dream.
He thought it'd take him ages to go through the entire university system to find the student he was looking for, but instead, he came to him directly. That was his lucky day.
"Sir!" Renjun faked relief when he saw the president. "You're never going to believe what we saw!"
"Lee Jeno is part of a dangerous gang, sir!" Donghyuck spoke, his face showing terror. "We have to call the police!"
"No need for that," Park replied, a bit too quickly. "I'll take care of it myself," he added, looking straight to the boy who was being pointed at by his classmates. "What are your names?"
The boys introduced themselves, and Park mentally noted the names so he could strike them off the list of potential Dream members.
"You boys can go back to your classes," he spoke. "I'll take care of Lee Jeno."
They bowed and made their way out of the room, only to hide behind the wall Mark was a few moments ago. But the boy was no longer here, already working on his task.
As Park was slowly walking in Jeno's direction, a sudden short melody followed by a voice echoed through the speakers around the building.
"President Park Min-Seok is requested to join the conference room immediately."
The man seemed torn apart. Lee Jeno was right here, but he needed to keep his job if he wanted to successfully complete his task to find all Dream members. He sighed, before eyeing the boy up and down.
He couldn't even ask Jeno to come by his office later, he didn't have an actual reason to call him in.
"I'll let that slide for this time," he spoke. "I don't know what your friends and you were thinking, and I don't know what they saw, but you really don't seem like a gang member to me," he faked a laugh. "That prank wasn't funny, you really seem to have scared them."
"Yes, sir. I won't do it again," Jeno replied, looking at him in the eye. "And they're not my friends," he scoffed, getting out of the room.
Jeno was relieved. Everything went according to plan, and Park made it seem like he didn't believe a word of what Renjun, Haechan and Jaemin had said, but they all knew that wasn't true.
He waited a few minutes, to make sure Park was really gone before joining his brothers. They all smiled, proud of their small success.
Considering they didn't have any classes that afternoon, they directly went back to the house to tell Taeyong about it.
