Otterpelt padded into the Leaders' den. She noticed Shellstar was sleeping, so she went up to him and gently prodded him with her paw. "Hey, Shellstar, I will go to the Ocean Side with Vertexclan's medicine cat Nova, if that's okay with you?" She asked, her tail swaying.

Shellstar looked up at her and yawned. "Sure, just be careful, alright?" he meowed.

"I will." She dipped her head to her leader and left his den.

Once she left, she looked towards the entrance to see two cats talking to each other. It was Rushstreak and Nova.

She's here sooner than I thought! Otterpelt thought and started over to the two other she-cats.

"What are you doing on Driftclan territory?" snarled Rushstreak.

"No need to get so hostile. I'm only here for Otterpelt." Nova calmly mewed back to her.

Otterpelt quickly came up. "Yeah, don't worry about it Rushstreak, We're just going to the Ocean Side!" she said.

"Alright then." She looked at the two medicine cats for longer before she padded off.

"You ready?" Nova asked Otterpelt.

"Yes, let us go now."

The two medicine cats started their way to the Ocean Side.

*

It didn't take them long to get close to it at all because of Driftclan living very close to the ocean, anyway.

"So how are things going for you?" Nova meowed.

"Everything's fine, just a few aching paws to treat really," Otterpelt replied and laughed a little.

"How about you?" She added.

Nova thought about the recent events that happened and decided to not talk about it. "Same old here... Dustshine kitted a while ago and had 2 kits. Unfortunately, one of them is with Starclan now."

"Sorry to hear that," Otterpelt said.

"It's alright. Did Sagethorn and Lionsplash kit yet?"

"They did. Sagethorn has one kit and Lionsplash has three. All of them were healthy."

"That's good." Nova said, then noticed that they were getting close to the Ocean Side.

The two medicine cats stood by the ocean, watching it closer to them, then going back steadily.

"Been a while since we've done this." Otterpelt meowed to Nova.

"Hopefully there's something important Starclan has to tell us both." the black she-cat laid herself down into the sand and closed her eyes.

Hopefully... Otterpelt thought and laid next to the Vertexclan medicine cat and closed her eyes.

*

Otterpelt opened her eyes. There were stars all around her, and Nova was standing right next to her.

"I figured we would see different things, but I guess I was wrong this time." Nova mewed while looking around.

"I've been expecting you two." There was a voice in front of them. They instantly shot a look at who was talking.

Otterpelt widened her eyes at the cat that was standing there.

"Thorntail!" She did her best to hold back tears, but they soon came down her face.

Nova looked at Thorntail. "I assume you know who this is?"

"Yes, it's the cat who trained me to be the medicine cat I am now." she mewed.

Thorntail smiled a little, but it quickly faded. "Unfortunately, there's no time for catching up right now. I have to give you two important messages."

"There was a prophecy that was never given because of a disagreement in Starclan," he started.

"Why weren't we notified sooner?" Nova asked eagerly, getting angry.

"Calm down," the old Driftclan medicine cat continued, "An old leader somehow convinced every cat not to give the prophecy out, but I would not follow their lead." he almost hissed at the thought of what happened.

"Well, please tell us Thorntail!" Otterpelt begged.

Nova and Otterpelt realized he was fading away slowly.

"I thought I would have more time!" He gave a vast sigh.

"Hurry and tell us!" Nova demanded.

"The blizzard will stop the sh-"

Thorntail had disappeared, and Otterpelt and Nova had woken up by the Ocean Side.

"Fox-dung!" Nova hopped up and hissed.

Otterpelt got up, "Looks like we will have to find out ourselves..."

Nova gave a very huge sigh. She got annoyed now. "What he said could mean anything, though! He didn't even get to finish! Both of our clans could be in trouble now!" the she-cat paced back and forth, but then Otterpelt stopped her.

"Hush now before I throw you in the ocean to cool off," the brown-furred she-cat said. "We will get through this and find out the rest of the prophecy together. Plus, I am sure there will be omens," she meowed.

Nova stared at Otterpelt for a second, thinking about what to say.

"Fine, you're right."

"Alright then let's get back to our clans before they worry about us." she put her tail on Nova's shoulder.

"Maybe in one or two moons we could have a gathering with each other's clans." Otterpelt added.

"I know Shellstar won't mind, but Birdstar might be tough to convince." Nova mewed as they headed back to their clans.
