Chapter 31

It's been about 2 moons since Shredflash and Eclipse had met. Eclipse lived in a pleasant area with a ton of trees and plants. She lived in a nice little cave around some trees and hidden by some bushes. Inside of the cave were her pile of fresh-kill that she will share with Shredflash now and a nice little nest that she increased the size so Shredflash could sleep next to her.

"You don't have to do this for me..." Shredflash meowed to her.

Eclipse smiled. "I'm fine with it! If you will stay with me, then I might as well make you comfy too!" She blushed and purred.

Shredflash watched as she continued to fix up the nest for him.

She turned around, still blushing. "Plus, I like you a lot too!" Eclipse meowed, then turned back to the nest once again.

Shredflash blushed himself, she's been so nice to him all this time and hasn't gotten bothered by him at all. You might as well become mates with her! It'll be good for you! Shred giggled.

"H-Hey Eclipse, I want to ask you something important..." the tom meowed, blushing harder than before. He watched as Eclipse turned around with a bigger smile on her face.

"What is it, Shredflash?"

"Will you be my mate?"

Eclipse nearly mewled in excitement, but she held it together. "Yes!" She came up to him and nuzzled against his neck a ton, purring a lot.

Shredflash felt something he hadn't truly felt in a while. It was happiness. He felt it when Dustshine was around, and especially felt it when Blacksting died. Shredflash couldn't accept Cloudthorn's love because she would've been in significant danger. Now that Blacksting is dead, and he doesn't have to worry about Vertexclan, he can be happy with a mate and maybe even have kits.

Shredflash will do anything he could now to protect Eclipse.
