Driftclan lives in a small forested area next to the ocean. Close, but not too close to Vertexclan. The leader of Driftclan, Shellstar, loves his clanmates to death. There are no problems that Driftclan has at this moment. There is only small talk about the two queens in the Nursery: Sagethorn and Lionsplash. Shellstar got worried though, about Vertexclan, they've always had a sighting of either Birdstar or his deputy Skybelly snoop around on Driftclan territory for a little while, then disappear as quick as a mouse.

"Do you think Vertexclan is planning to attack us?" Featherdrip asked her leader.

"No, Birdstar probably wants to see if we will make a move on them." Shellstar replied with a sigh after.

"Well, that's better than them attacking, I guess..." she mewed.

Featherdrip had padded off to the apprentices' den to check on Gullpaw. While Shellstar went to the elders' den himself. "Hello? Anyone home?" he peeked his head in to see Tansytail snoring softly. Best to leave her alone then! Shellstar thought and pulled his head out from the den. He turned around to a giant fish in front of his muzzle. He looked over at the fish to see Eelspeck carrying the fish in his maw. "Oh hi, Shellstar!" the tom dropped the fish in front of him and licked his maw.

"Hello, Eelspeck. I see you caught something nice there." he meowed to his clanmate."

"Yeah! It was a bit of a struggle to get it over here, but I had a little help from Stormfish," he replied with a smile.

"Where is he now?"

"Oh, he went to the warriors' den to get some rest."

"I'm sure he did after helping you carry that," Shellstar said.

"Yeah! I will go take this to the fresh-kill pile now!" Eelspeck dragged the fish backward towards the pile.

"Alrighty then..." Shellstar yawned. "I should follow in Stormfish's pawsteps and rest a little myself." Shellstar headed off to his den to take a nap.

Sagethorn and Lionsplash were in the nursery chatting with each other. They talked about what they think their kits will look like, what they will name them, and how big they will be.

"I fear something though, Lionsplash." Sagethorn mewed.

"What is it?" She was licking the fur around her belly slowly.

"I don't know, it's just that I have a weird feeling that something terrible will happen in the moons to come..."

"I'm sure it's nothing Sagethorn, besides how can there be anything terrible when you're going to be a mother!"

Well, taking care of troublesome kits for one... She thought to herself and nodded slowly at Lionsplash, who just giggled softly.

Just then Icejaw peeked into the Nursery. "Sagethorn, are you alright in here?" he had a slightly worried look on his face.

"Yes, Icejaw, I'm fine-" Sagethorn then felt an increasing pain from her belly to her lower area. She groaned out loud.

Lionsplash's eyes widened. "Icejaw go get Otterpelt!"

Icejaw already left to get the medicine cat.

A few heartbeats later, a brown-furred she-cat came into the nursery along with a few herbs, just in case. Icejaw had a stick in his maw.

"Icejaw, could you please give the stick to Sagethorn, please? And Sagethorn just bite down onto it for me." He did as he was told and Sagethorn bit and held the stick in her maw.

"Now Sagethorn, push as hard as you can." Otterpelt ordered.

She did as she was told and pushed; the stick broke a little, and she dug her claws into the ground. This continued until the stick was near broken, the ground Sagethorn clawed at was deep. Until a white and grey fluffy she-kit was born and suckling milk from her mother.

"Congratulations!" Otterpelt exclaimed with happiness towards the new parents of this very fluffy she-kit.

Icejaw laid himself by Sagethorn as they watched their kit happily. "What shall we name her?" He asked his mate.

"Blizzardkit..." she replied with a half-whispered mew.

"Such a beautiful name!" Icejaw nuzzled Sagethorn and purred lightly.

Because there is a blizzard of happiness coming our way! Sagethorn thought and purred.
