Please look out tomorrow for an important A/n! Depending on what happens, I will post it. I can't tell y'all right now because this certain event is not set in stone, but if it is I will spill the tea. Aight, here's some short fluff cuz sad.

"Breaking news: Broadway has gone dark until June 7, 2020 instead of April 12, 2020. We will keep everyone updated for further details."

I turned off the TV, shocked. I couldn't believe it! No, no, no, no, no, no! I checked my phone to see if this wasn't just a prank, but no. Articles flooded my social media about the new reopening date. I through down my phone, and screamed in my pillow.

You see, I had saved up for MONTHS to get two tickets to Beetlejuice in May. But now, that dream is dead. Of course, I could go see it off-Broadway, but I wouldn't be able to make enough money to snag some tickets when the time comes around.

I cried into my pillow until I heard my phone ping! I groaned and saw a text from Jared.

CrOnCh_and_Memes: Hey Evan invited me over and I don't want to hang out with that tree-loving weirdo sooooo can I come over?

I wiped my eyes so I could see the screen. I was about to text back until my door slammed open.

"SURPRISE!" An all-to-familar voice yelled, making me jump.

"Oh...h-hey, Jared," I mumbled, sniffing.

"Y/n, why are you sad?" Jared asked softly, sitting on my bed next to me.

"Broadway is c-closed till June 7th now, and...MY TICKETS TO BEETLEJUICE ARE CANCELLED NOW!" I cried, sobbing into Jared's shoulder. I felt his arms wrap around me as I cried my worries away. Out of all the people who I expected to show sympathy, Jared is the one I least expected.

Funny how it works out like that.

"Shhhh, it's okay, y/n, how about we watch f/s? I know it's your favorite~~~" Jared cooed, stroking my hair.

I sniffled a bit and said, "T-That would be nice."

Jared turned the TV on and pulled up the show on Netflix/Hulu/Apple TV. I grabbed a few blankets and popped some popcorn. As we watched f/s, (Occasionally taking a break so I could sob and Jared could comfort me) it felt...nice. Hey, maybe we aren't a couple or anything, but maybe that could happen one day. I mean, Jared did seem to care a lot, even if he wasn't a musical nerd like me. He made me forget about the BeetleJuice tickets.

Almost.

As I got lost in my thoughts, I reached into the popcorn bowl. As I grabbed a handful, my hand bumped into another one.

I met Jared's gaze, and before I knew it, he intertwined his fingers with mine. I was a bit stunned, but got over it quickly and softly smiled, squeezing his hand. Nope, this is wasn't BeetleJuice.

It was better.

Sorry this was short, but I'm a bit focused on real life stuff right now. Remember, look out for that A/n tomorrow and have an amazing day/night❤️🦙❤️
