Mean Girls in just so good?
I shivered in the cold rain as I waited for the school bus. Usually I would bring a coat or hoodie with me on days like this, but I read my clock wrong and I didn't have time to go back to my house to grab one.
As I stood in the rain, wrapping my shivering arms around me, I saw a guy from my school glumly stride over to me. He had on a black hoodie, and his curly brown hair went to his shoulders.
Pretty dang attractive.
I ignored the thought when I felt the wind pick up, blowing cold, gusty air and rain droplets onto my face. I tried to shield myself with my arms, but the moment I unwrapped them from around my waist, I started the shiver violently.
As I softly cursed myself for not grabbing a jacket, the guy from before taps on my shoulder. He smelled of pot.
"Hey, you seem cold. Do you have a jacket?" He softly asked, nervously looking around.
I awkwardly said, "Oh, um, no. I'm kinda dumb for not bringing one, eh?"
I locked eyes with the tall male in front of me. His dark-brown eyes seemed to pierce through me as he swiftly took off his hoodie and handed it to me. "Here," he spat.
Surprised by his kind action, I quietly squeaked, "Oh, I...um...I can't take this. It's yours." I hastily tried handing it back to him, but he pushed it away from me violently.
"JUST TAKE THE DAM THING!" He barked. Quaking, I backed up. In fear, I put the large hoodie on me. I immediately felt warmth rush over me as I sank into the hoodie.
A few seconds later, the bright yellow school bus pulled up, and before we climb on, I quietly squeaked, "Thank you."
His face lit up with surprise for a moment, but he quickly recomposed himself as he murmured, "Don't mention it."
Little did I know that when he climbed onto the crowded bus, he lightly smiled and blushed a bit. It was the best he'd felt in years.
