Dodging Bullets || Antonio Dawson

Kelly Severide watched the police cars pull up. He kept his eyes trained on the the cars. Burgess and Ruzek got out of one. The rest got out as well and one car was left. The driver's of the other one got out.

Seconds later , Alejandra got out the passenger.

They looked at each other before she put on her sunglasses and walked over to Chief Boden who talking to the rest of her unit.

"So what do we have ?"

"We got an arsonist in there but we got his partner right there."

"Great." Antonio said before looking at Ruzek. "We'll get em , you two go talk to the other one."

"Is it because we are women and you don't trust us ?" Alejandra quickly asked. Antonio scoffed.

"All for women and their rights , don't do that."

She rolled her eyes with a smirk as her and Kim went over to the one assailant who was laying on the grass. They looked down at him.

"How you today sir ?"

"My lungs hurt." He wheezed.

"Aww , that's too bad , you killed like five people." Kim told him. Alejandra smirked at the younger detective. Kim was getting meaner and meaner by the day. The man started talking about how he and the man grew up together. He was only looking out for him and told him multiples it was dangerous what he was doing. His friend didn't listen to him and the fire started.

His friend had him tapped to a chair to let them both die in there but he found a way to get out since he broke the chair.

"Well I think that means it's just one arsonist then."

The other man was dragged out by Antonio with Adam following.

"Chad couldn't hang anyway." The man said. The man on the ground sat up and screamed at him.

"I couldn't hang ? You tried to kill yourself, me and these damn firefighters Evan-"

"He's not worth it." Alejandra told him. "You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved no matter how much you love them. You have to let him go."

The man Chad nodded angrily.

"We need to bring you to the station for a confession and what happened today."

Another police car pulled up and it was a patrol officer named Greg.

"Hey Greg , take him to Med."

Greg nodded and Alejandra helped the man before putting him the back seat and shutting the door. She tapped the car twice and Greg drove off. Alejandra turned around and went to Chief Boden.

"Did anyone get hurt or anything ?"

"No my men are fine but thanks for asking."

"You're welcome Chief."

She turned around and she made eye contact with Kelly who wasn't too far away from her. Kelly was pissed at her and she knew it. She wanted to talk to him but now wasn't the time.

She turned her head and Kelly walked over to her. His grip on her arm was tight as he dragged her away , about fifteen feet away from anyone else.

"So you avoiding me now ?"

"Last time I checked , I stopped talking to you to help you out with Stella."

"Why would you cut me off ? I was trying to tell you , me and her didn't work out." He asked her , folding his arms.
