"Cody, meet Janie. Janie, meet Cody." He introduced. I looked in the back.

"Hi Janie." I greeted waving. She just waved.

She was so cute. She had blonde hair in pigtails. And light light blue, almost white eyes, just like Jake. She was wearing medium grey shorts, a dark blue shirt, and black shoes.

My bag was sitting on my lap. I opened it.

"I brought some things we may need." I announced. "Like some snacks, hand sanitizer, money, etc."

"Don't be silly, I'm paying." He said pulling unto the parking lot.

"It was my idea to come here though. I should." I implied.

"Fine. How about I pay 2 halfs of it, and you can pay the rest." He responded.

I shook my head okay. We got out and got to the gates right after he paid I realized what he did.

"Wait what? You just paid all of it." I pointed out.

"You agreed on me paying 2 halfs." He chuckled. I though for a second. That bastard. Haha. He was carrying Janie on his side.

"Where do you what to go first?" I asked Janie. She whispered in Jakes ear.

"The snakes." Jake said.

"So the reptile house." I responded. We started walking there.

"Do you know where we're going?"

"I volunteer here a lot. That's why I wanted to pay. Everybody knows me so we got a discount. I know the place like the back of my hand." I assured.

We went to the reptile house. When we walked in Jake put her down so she could walk. He held her hand and she stayed close to him. Damn. He was right about her being shy. I crouched down to her height

"Do you want to hold an animal?" I asked.

A smile grew on her face and she nodded her head yes. I stood back up.

"What animal?" Jake was obviously skeptical.

"Don't worry. It's not gonna be anything bad or dangerous." I assured. We walked to one of the zoo keepers. "Tony!" I called out walking up to him.

"Hey Cody, how are you?" He greeted.

"Very good. So first off, meet my boyfriend; Jake, and his daughter; Janie. Jake, meet Tony, he works with the small reptiles." I introduced. "But Janie is quite shy, and I want her to get use to the zoo. Cause animals is the best therapy for shyness and a bunch of things. So I was wondering if the chameleon is okay for her to hold or pet."

"Of course." He answered.

We went to the Chameleon and he opened the cage. He picked it up with stick and crouched down. Janie let go of Jake.

"Okay Janie, you gotta be real careful with him. Hold the stick right here." He said.

He placed the stick in her hands and helped her grip onto it. She had a big smile on her face. Which made the rest of us smile. Tony got out a small piece if colored paper.

"Chameleons change color due to their surroundings."

He held up a sheet of purple paper behind him. He started to slowly turn purple. Janie gasped. He soon put it back away. And she put hand sanitizer on. She will after every animal.

"So how many animals are you planning on doing this to, or have?" Tony asked me in a humorous tone.

"Well this was the first one. And I don't know." I shrugged.

We thanked him and walked out. Jake's hand but a little farther away this time. I knew that'd break her bubble of being shy. It did me.

"That's was really cool, what you did." Jake said.

"Like I said. Animals are the best therapy." I assured.
