"What's this?" My mom asked.

My dad stood there with his arms crosaed. She then read it. Her eyes widened.

"You can't be serious."

"So I look like I'm joking?" He sneered.

"Just because of this?"

"Stop acting as if I'm stupid Mia. I've been leaving it alone for the past few months for Cody's sake. But you've pulled my last straw." He hissed.

"What?" She now sounded nervous. He slammed his hands on the table.

"Who the fuck is Dillion!?" He yelled.

"H-how did you know?" She stuttered.

"You really don't think I know you're texting someone in the middle of the night or calling them!? You don't think I don't know when you've had sex with someone else behind my fucking back!?" He continued. "Except the thing is that I'd rather you cheat on me than treat our daughter like shit! Your brother raped her! And what did you do!? Nothing!"

"I'm sorry." My mom apologized.

"Just sign the damn papers." He demanded. She signed the papers as she cried.

"I love you Trever." She said.

"Don't fucking lie." He hissed.

I saw them walking towards their room so I ran back to mine before they saw me. A few minutes later I glanced out my window and saw my mom driving away. Bitch didn't even say goodbye.

A few hours later I left my room and took a shower. I put my pajamas on and walked back out to talk to my dad. I peaked around the kitchen doorway and saw him taking one shot of alcohol after another. Nevermind... I went back to my room and fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up. I debated if I wanted to go to school today. It's Thursday. Almost the end of the week. There's no really good point. About an hour later my dad got back home.

"Fuuuuck!" He cursed.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Shit. I didn't know you were home." He gasped. He took a deep breath. "I assume you know what happened?" He implied.

I looked down and shook my head yes. I opened my mouth to say something but stopped.

"You look like you want to say something." He implied.

"I'm moving out." I blurted out. "I'm 18. And I've saved enough money for an apartment."

"Are you sure about this?" He asked. I nodded my head yes.

"I'm sorry dad." I apologized.

"No. Don't be sorry. It just... caught me off guard." He assured.

I went back to my room. I faintly heard my dad in the other room.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." He kept cursing.

I'd lying if I said I did feel bad. A few hours later I got a text from Jake saying that he's home. I got in my car and drove over there. He let me in.

"How are you doing?" He asked.

"I don't know. I watched my parents sign divorce papers last night." I shrugged.

"What?" He gasped.

"Look what George does now." Janie insisted. "George! Smoke!"

"Ooon the water. A fire in the sky." George added. I laughed.

"It took me hours of verbal abuse to get him to do that." Jake said.

"Well was it worth it?" I asked.

He nodded his head yes. He looked at me.

"Maybe we can go 'talk' in your room..." He knew what I was implying.

"Cody and I will be in my room for a little bit. It's grown up talk. So you need to stay out here. You know what not to do." He told Janie. We went into his room. "Just to make sure."

He turned music on. So we won't he as loud as the last time.
