Before you start, just know that this is only the prologue and that the real story only starts at chapter two, but you have to read this if you want to get what's happening next!

I was on my bed, watching assassination's classroom as usual and drawing. I've been quarantained for three weeks now and it doesn't seem like it's gonna stop. Fuck, i'm getting bored. Everyday is the same: Waking up, eating, homework, lunch, netflix, anime and free time.
Suddenly, my mum called me. I paused my video with a sigh.
"Yeah?" I shouted back and got out of my room.
"I've got mail for you" She said and handed me a package.
I took it, confused. Who could send me a package? My friends? No. That's not their genre. Who could it be then? I looked at the mysterious box to see if I could find any name on it. But the only thing written was my name and adress. Weird.
I headed back to my room, curious. I slit the carboard with my knife. In the box, there were two smaller packages wrapped in craft paper and a letter.
The sender probably wanted me to open the letter first, so that's what I did.
Unfortunately, it was a typed letter so I couldn't try to recocnize my sender by his writing. The envelope was kinda fat. The cause of it was its content: three sheets. On the first one, the following words were written:
Dear (y/n):
This package is very special so I'm gonna ask you to take care of it. Don't tell anyone about its content. If your mum asks you, tell her that I'm a freind of yours who sent you some schoolbooks you forgot. You probably wonder who I am. Well, this might deceive you a little but unfortunately my identity has to keep secret. If you think this is a joke, You'll see by yourself that it's not. The two little packages are numbered. Take number one first.
That's what I did.
Now, unwrap it carefully and open it.
I took the craft paper off and a little thing with the demensions of a Nintendo DS gamebox appeared. I turned the thing in my hands to look at every single angle of it. It was kinda heavy. I guessed it was probably made out of metal. I noticed that it was indeed possible to open it like a gamebox. But before doing it, I prefered to read the letter to be sure.
You probably noticed that you can open it. But before you do it, I think that I should tell you what this is. What you have here in your hands doesn't really have a name, but if it had to have one, it would be called "story traveller". This is a very special engine I made by myself. Open it and I'll tell you how it works.
Lowkey panting and with trembling fingers, I opened the story traveler, asking myself if this was serious or not. What I got in my hands at that moment, was like a little book, except that on one side there was a small block of lined paper, and on the oher one a screen. In the middle, there was a small pen. I looked back at the letter.
So, this is how it works: this little machine will be your passport to travel to the storys you like. You only have to write the story you want to get in, the time it is at the moment you're writing, the moment and the place you want to be in the story, the name and the look of your character, and finally the objects you're taking with you. Before you do anything else, read the rules on the second sheet.
I took the second sheet of the letter and started to read it:
Conditions of use and rules of the story traveler:
The use of this story traveler shall not affect your life in the real world, nor the story you go to. That means that if you change the issue of the story, it will not be changed when you get back:the story will stay the same in the human world and your character will not be mentionned. If you get an injury, you shall feel the pain but you won't keep any scars, nor wounds. If you die, you get retransported back into the human world immediately and, if the story isn't finished after you died, you have the possibility to watch the story until the end on the screen of your traveler. All your attempts to get back to the story after your death in it will be corrupted. You can't travel to a story if it's a book that hasn't any movie adapation. If it has more than one, you'll be taken to the one you have in mind. If you want to take any objects with you please mention all of them and don't take more than ten. Gloves and other accessoires are not considered like objects unless you're wearing them. To not affect your private life, the time you spend in the story traveler has no influence on your life: no matter how long your travel is, when you come back to the real life everything will be like you never left. The time of your return in the human world will be the same as when you left. Nobody will notice the fact that you were gone. After a story travel , it is recommended not to use the traveler for at least a week so that your cells have time to recover from the shock they have just suffered. If you don't respect this rule, the shock may get too heavy and you may die. Also, if you abuse too much of the machine, the personnal might take it back for your security. You have to stay at least three days in the story. After this, you can chose if you want to leave or stay. When you're sure that you're really done with the story you're in, write it's name. You will get back to the human world. Once you're back, tear off the sheet on wich you wrote your informations and put it in the little box. After doing that, you won't be able to go back to this story before one month. This rule was made to avoid any psychologically obsession. If you break any of those rules, your traveller and all the memories you got from it will be removed from you. You can actually make a log book, but only with the included pen, so you will be the only person who can read it. If another person than you discovers the exintence of the time traveler it will count like a break of the rules and the consequences will be the same. If you still have any questions, write them on the notebook. We will answer you as fast as possible.
I still don't know why but this reminded me alot of death note. But still, I was impressed, scared and curious at the same time. I looked back to the first page.
In the other package is something you'll only need later. I hope that the rules are clear to you and that you will respect them. I know that you're an intelligent person and that you won't abuse of this. But if you do, then i'll be the one who will take this machine from you. You'll see my face only once. The day you will, it'll also be the day you'll last see your story traveler. It'll be the day you'll lose all memories attached to it. If you're still not convinced of the seriousness of this letter, just try your story traveler now. Go ahead.
